BROR shelving with drawersAnonymous reviewerGreat shelves, look great and function well But need to be fixed to the wall!!! I got 2x 85cm wide shelves with drawers and also the 65cm version. I realised the number of shelves they come with are at least two too few so I got two extra for each offering more practicality. Plan ahead, not easy to add shelves once assembled. Before you buy remember they need to be secured to the wall. Once fixed they are really immovable.
If you have skirting boards or other obstructions between the shelves and the wall which prevents the shelves touching the wall, I recommend a spacer of wood in between to ensure a good tight connection. I marked the location of the screws to go into the wall, and used large raw plugs with long screws. I used vertical lengths of wood about 20mm thick between wall and frame to ensure a tight and robust connection. The end result was 100% sturdy. I have very heavy loads on them and they haven’t moved a mm. Just fix them to the wall and you will be happy.4

Assemble, but not very stable!!! They heavily rely on the wall attachment for stability, the cross supports are not up to much. On the whole very disappointing for the price. I am sure they can take the load, but wobbly as heck until braced into the wall. I think the rivet system & cross supports are the culprit, which is easy to assemble, and highly load barring, but no structural rigidity. 2
