Good to know

We recommend a TV bench to be a bit wider than the TV placed on it. This TV bench suits a TV up to 72 inches. You can choose a larger TV if it’s not heavier than the specified max load for the bench’s top.

The top panel of the TV bench is intended for a TV with a maximum weight of 25 kg.

180 cm wide TV benches require 8 legs or 4 legs and 2 BESTÅ supporting leg.

Doors, hinges and interiors are sold separately.

Problems with one doorAnonymous reviewerWe had this unit for over a year. One of the doors started "hanging", becoming not aligned. We adjusted the hinges, but the wood/material to which the top hinge is attached is either less sturdy or faulty, so the hinge moves. The door needs to be manually lifted a bit to make it fit with the other to close it. Quite disapointing1

Besta wall hung tv cabinet Anonymous reviewerI customised this tv unit, with drawers and doors, to the absolute detriment of my sanity ! No matter how I try to follow the instructions, the cupboard door and drawer front, do not align, they look totally wonky and my eye is constantly drawn to the gaps, it’s so noticeable. I’ve shopped at ikea for years and expected better, I wish I had gotten an ikea person to build it. It’s driving me insane, which is a total shame as otherwise it’s a lovely piece of furniture. I’m currently contemplating returning it, which will be a first for me 😫2

One main reasons I buy from Ikea is the deign and quality of the products you get for a sensible price. The materials the units carcass is made from seem's very cheap and the shelf brackets are flimsy. Overall it does the job but I would think twice before buying from this range again. 3

Not that sturdyAnonymous reviewerI’ve had this unit for a few months now. Assembled it looks great. However it’s nowhere near as sturdy as other Ikea furniture. It easily sways when touched or leant on and you can hear all the various parts moving vertical parts moving. I noticed this when assembling and assumed once it was fully assembled it would be secure, But no. I doubt this will survive a house move. 2

Material

What is constructed board?

We use constructed boards when manufacturing many of our pieces of furniture, such as tables and wardrobes. They are light yet still stable and strong. Each board has a frame made of chipboard, fibreboard or solid wood, while the inside is a honeycomb filling structure made of mostly recycled paper, which is extra durable thanks to its special construction. The board is then covered with a protective paint, foil or veneer depending on the style wanted.
