Umm not sure the build quality is here - Shame and sad 😔! Anonymous reviewerUmmm this unit is easy enough to put up, but totally lacks IKEA’s build quality or sturdiness. It really should not have passed fit for purpose or quality control and you don’t know this until you’ve assembled it. My husband is a qualified joiner and said it was very poor and unsturdy. Very obvious in fact & flimsy, it really needs to be fixed to a wall to be safe. Unfortunately you don’t see this until it’s built, so we will have to keep. Please Ikea this unit build design seriously needs looking into from a H & S point of view. It looks very nice, but not really fit for purpose. I will have to adapt it at cost to enable its use in our kitchen. Not your usual quality at all. Some other comments reflect the same. Please accept this as written advices. It’s important here. Return feedback would be much appreciated please from quality assurances and how this ever passed as a unit for given suggested purposes!! thank you. 3
Looks great, very customisable and easy to put togetherAnonymous reviewerThe units look really nice and sleek, they were super easy to put together and you can customise them for you space (different feet, different door layouts, different shelves/drawers etc) so are perfect!5
cheapo materials, lazy designAnonymous reviewerhard to put together unless you have a huge room due to the way the backing board fits, and it's structural! Except it's loose! There is not one corner they haven't cut whilst still hiking the prices up and up. As long as it looks nice that's where their concern seems to end. The rotating screw locks aren't even metal. It feels like a stern look would knock it over. I actually suspect they are insisting you screw it into the wall not just for safety but to give it a bit more strength. Ikea are becoming a bad joke.2
Flimsy and badly engineered.Anonymous reviewerUtter waste of money. Flimsier than slice of jelly, feels as cheap as a Tory promise.
The grooves to ‘slide’ (don’t make me laugh) the backing board in are not wide enough to accept the board. No chance of getting it in and it ended up splitting down the centre.
Plastic parts are brittle with one of the wall mounts snapping off.
Extremely poor quality and not worth half the price. I’m sure IKEA will tell me that if I’m not satisfied I can ‘exchange it for another’ or ‘accept a refund’ but please, IKEA tell me, ‘why should I make a 2hr round trip to my nearest store because you failed to make a satisfactory product?’1
Good value for moneyAnonymous reviewer.5
LouiseAnonymous reviewerHad to drill all of the side panel as back would not slide in , not only did i pay fifty pounds for delivery i then had to pay someone a further twenty pounds for kindly doing it for me. i could not come to the store as i am shielding at present2
Perfect storage xAnonymous reviewerCompletes my middle room and makes so much use of space the doors on it look fab x5
Perfect storage for Dining roomAnonymous reviewerWe purchased 2 tall, deep black BESTA cabinets with square oak doors top & bottom, with all-glass doors & shelves for the middle sections. These cabinets sit either side of a tall black Sufflor Unit purchased from IKEA years ago. They house our extensive DVD/Bluray library, alcohol, tableware & shiny ornaments. They were fairly easy to assemble, except for the back panel which was 2 wide for the slots. However, we worked out a way to get around this and the cabinets look amazing!5
Love itAnonymous reviewerLooks fantastic tbf it was easy to ensemble5
