Can I change or modify my IKEA product?
Any modifications you do to a product, such as drilling holes or removing parts during use, will void the warranty.
The safety of our customers is at the heart of how we design our products. That's why, we take care to create them in a way to prevent any accidents, so you can feel safe in your home. Any modifications you do to a product, such as drilling holes or removing parts during use, will void the warranty, as it no longer functions the way it was designed and may have ruined the integrity of the product's structure. Therefore, read and follow the assembly instructions for your product.
Products that indicate the need to be anchored will need to be secured to the wall for safety reasons. These are needed if displayed in the assembly guide, and will not void the warranty.
