Can I get a VAT refund?
There are some cases in which you can request a VAT refund for your IKEA purchase.
Please be aware that as of the 1st of January 2021, customers who are visitors to the UK will no longer be able to make VAT Refund claims when they are transporting their goods out of the UK with them in their luggage (Tax-free shopping). There is no change to customers who export the goods using a third party shipping service. More details can be found on GOV.UK VAT on goods exported from the UK.
- Order confirmation or receipt.
