As US Military personnel, can I claim tax relief on IKEA products?
US military personnel who come over to the UK are entitled to Tax Relief under a UK Government scheme.
IKEA accepts tax relief, but purchases eligible for tax relief can only be made in-store.
For information around tax relief, how to claim and the process, please go to your assigned military base and speak directly to the VAT office on-base. You can also visit the UK government website here.
After you have visited your base and followed the process, you can then visit IKEA in-store to purchase your items.
