IKEA Canada launches contactless, Curbside Click & Collect service at store locations nationwide

May 7, 2020

Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, our top priority continues to be the health and safety of our co-workers, customers and communities. As the situation with COVID-19 evolves daily, we focus on actions to create a safe operating environment for co-workers and customers, support our local communities and continue to operate our online business at IKEA.ca, in order to meet customers in the best possible way.

We are pleased to introduce a new contactless Curbside Click & Collect service now available at select store locations nationwide. This excludes store locations in Quebec, which will launch their Curbside Click & Collect on May 11th, with no service available on Sundays, to reflect local regulations. For a flat rate of $5, this service enables customers to order products online and pick them up in a safe, contactless way at the store location of their choice.

Working in line with recommendations from local governments and health authorities, we have implemented enhanced health and safety measures for Curbside Click & Collect including:

· A completely contactless exchange between co-worker and customer

· Enhanced physical distancing protocol across all operations

· Personal protective equipment (PPE) for co-workers

· Rigorous sanitization and cleaning of units and surfaces incl. Loading Carts (after every use)

Today, life at home is more important than ever, with many families across Canada adapting to a new normal, whether that’s home schooling or working full-time from home. We’re committed to continuing to provide our customers with the home furnishing and hardware solutions to support these needs, while following the recommendations of local health authorities.
