could 2 glass shelves be used?Kimmore of a question than a review but someone has to know…if i bought two coffee tables could i take out the wooden shelf and use another glass shelf for the bottom? i would have to purchase two coffee tables and they are on sale. Has anyone done this? it would be the perfect aesthetic hack for my living room solution. Are the shelves interchangeable? Then there would be visuals of the rug underneath (light off white),and the eye would continue on my sightline towards the light area of my space, as i have a difficult area to work with.

They look fantastic side by side, or you could off-set them. The lower shelf is great to place magazines, books, imitation plants or even a few low lying vases. You will not be disappointed - a must buy!
No pilot holes Anonymous reviewerI Buy ikea due to the easy assembly. There is no pilot hole for the bottom part of the table and although some reviews suggest leaving it unscrewed it spins like a lazy Susanne so I would not want items on the bottom getting broken. Very disappointing. We now have to measure and drill pilot holes just to secure it.

Excellent coffee tableSanjaThis is a simple, but elegant, small and airy, and well-priced coffee table. I would have liked to see the bottom shelf have pre-drilled holes for fastening. I just left mine sitting on the crossbar and it seems sturdy. Very happy with this product from Ikea.
