Assemble on a soft surfaceAnonymous reviewerLOVE the shelf. But had to turn two shelves a specific way to have the scratched sides down. While unboxing it I learned the finish scratches easily. Don't let the pieces slide on each other while taking them out of the box. Lift them straight up. It was the corners of other pieces that did it.5
