Not a tight/snap close lid.AnjuI bought 4 sets of the box and matching lids a couple of weeks ago. They stack nicely however are not fitted lids. I didnt mind as I purchased it for toy room storage. However in the parking lot of the Ikea two of the stacked lids blew up and hit me hard above the eye. Wish they snapped closed. Of course not the businesses fault however I wouldn't have had a cut and bruise over my eye.
