True convection blows hot air through a third heating element behind the fan cover. It cooks faster and outperforms standard convection when it comes to baking, browning and dehydrating food.
The self-cleaning function burns grease and food residue to ashes that can easily be wiped off. It can be programmed from 2-4 hours depending on the need for deep cleaning.
By using the integrated meat thermometer with temperature sensor you can perfectly cook any type of meat without monitoring the cooking process.

The cons on this oven are:
1. The light will reset if you open the door to check the food. You need to push that button each time you open the door during cooking. The old version was better.
2. The bottom telescopic rack will slowly slide out when the door is opened. So, the wire shelf will rests on the glass door. The older version had the telescopic rack on the top and it was very sturdy.
3. Very difficult to read the writing on the control panel because it's blue.
Overall it's a good oven and more affordable than other versions on the market which are more expensive.
Hopefully Ikea will combine these two ovens and make the best one yet.
Function buttons don’t work at allJohanIt is pretty annoying that you installed the newly bought oven and found out that all the function button didn’t work. Took a forever to get though on the phone with the CS and had set up an appointment with the mechanic. The mechanic said he needed to order parts for those buttons after the check. It is a brand new and I haven’t had a chance to use it once. I wouldn’t recommend purchasing this product.

caution with self clean.TrishThis oven works well with one exception. It seems to have inadequate venting for the self clean feature. Three times, this oven has fried its own control panel and completely shut down. This happened for the third time today sadly outside the warranty period. The oven was installed by Ikea certified installers to their specifications.The firefighters just left my home. After the oven totally shut down it began to smoke through the upper vents. My kitchen filled with smoke and I was unable to determine if there was a fire as the door cannot unlock when the electronics are fried, even when it cools down. Now I need a new oven. Please be extremely wary if you choose to use the self clean feature on this oven.
Nice featuresEvelynThis oven was bought to replace our 11 year old model of the IKEA wall oven. As it was a brand new model/make it was hard to get specific information from staff as they hadn’t all been trained on it. It has a lot of nice features including the sliding lower shelf, bread proofing setting, and no exposed lower elements making wiping up easier. Also, it is slightly deeper which allows you to place two 9x13 pans side by side on a shelf. Note that while this model fit into the same size space of our older model, it is required to be hard wired into an electrical box by a qualified electrician. Our older model came with a plug that you plugged into an appropriate wall receptacle. The plug took up space at the back of the unit which is why that unit was probably not as deep. Make sure that you double check all your space measurements and compare them to the requirements. It may not be a straightforward, plug and play type of switch over from an older model IKEA wall oven.
