Ratings and reviews

Beautiful shape, poor markingsRoselleI love the cylindrical shape of this measuring cup. It’s lightweight and easy to handle. I don’t like that the measurement indicators are starting to come off after 4 washings by hand.5
Excellent designLipikaIts light weight, has a pouring spout with a 1 litre capacity, handle is large, easy to read the markings, sleek & very pleasing to the eye. No way one can go wrong with this buy!5
Measuring cupPeterWorks great5
Handle Broke after 1 YearRayA crack formed on the top of my 1L measuring cup handle after approximately one year. It makes a scary rattling sound if grabbed by the handle 1
Good designAllenI like the pour spout and large handle. The handle keeps the hot water at a distance from my hand.5
ToughBillI had just bought it and was washing it before use, and I dropped it from chest height onto a tile floor. Instead of breaking it just bounced a few times before coming to rest.5
nice, sturdy and easy to gripDanielleI really like my measurinf cup. The measures are easy to read.5
Nice but too Light WeightJeannielight weight measuring cup, cracked very soon after we bought. Good measuring visability. 2
The flimsiest piece of glassware imaginedAnonymous reviewerMy fingers were greasy and tried to grab a sauce bottle. The bottle slipped my fingers and went forward and hit the measuring cup. Then the measuring cup hit the backslash of the kitchen. And it BROKE. The lifespan of this measuring cup was less than 2 weeks. 1
Excellent little measuring cupRonaldThe size and usability of this measuring cup is perfect. Easy pouring, just the right size for small jobs.5
Perfect MayaJust what I was looking for. Works perfectly. Washes great. Very pretty. 5
Very handyRoxanneLove it! Would be a 5 star but it is very light and will easily break4
too fragileAnonymous reviewerI used this handy liquid measuring cup often, right up until some TUPPERWARE fell on it from an upper cupboard, shattering the rim. I don't know about glass tempering but I imagine there's science behind making objects more durable. I would like to see this product improved. 2
Disappointingly fragileMarkPretty shelfware, but certainly not for active use in actual kitchens. Cracked within a week of real use.1
Not the best quality...KarenFunctionally it's okay, and price is good. However, the measuring cup material is very thin, and I chipped it in a few places on several occasions just from it making contact with other dishes on the drying rack. I don't think I can recommend this :( 3
Good while it lastedAnonymous reviewerThis measure cup worked great for a while but cracked in the dishwasher. 2
Love it!JaniceLove it!4

VARDAGEN Measuring cup, glass, 34 oz

Designing for the tastes of people around the world

Do you sometimes cook dishes from other cultures? Then you’re part of an international trend called transculturalism. It basically means that global cooking and eating habits are a lot more similar than you may think. How can we cater for this trend? We designed the VARDAGEN series with products that can be used in multiple ways. In Swedish, VARDAGEN means “every day”, which is just how the products are meant to be used, no matter where you live.

“Consumers have access to cultural diversity in cooking and eating from all over the world,” explains Ina Tidbeck Sjöblom, who helped create the products. “They want to taste the best of all cultures, which means that it’s not only in Asia that we need eating products for sushi.”

Creating products for all our differences (and similarities)

The VARDAGEN products are designed to turn differences into similarities. Like the eggcup. “We did it in a shape that it’s more like a very small dip bowl,” explains Ina. “So it’s also for Asian eating, you know the bowl where you put chili paste and other condiments.” Another bowl has just the right size and shape to be a rice bowl in Asia, but it can also be used as a side-salad or cereal bowl.

Answering the global demand for durability

VARDAGEN is uniquely suited to the global market—catering to the different needs of eaters. One thing people all over the world seem to agree on is the importance of durability. “We know from all the studies and research we do that people don’t want to buy and throw away things, they want to buy something that lasts,” says Ina. That’s why VARDAGEN is made from durable and sustainable materials, like glass, porcelain and stainless steel. That means, just like the name VARDAGEN suggests, they’ll be useful every day for many days to come.
