Unsuitable - Got skunkedStephenBought this in the store because I was looking to match the prior bowl from Ikea that I have. Dropped one and broke it after years of service. So I grabbed a couple and then ran them thru my dishwasher. ONLY after taking them out of the dishwasher did I notice that the "new" bowls now have a "max temp of 50C - 122F" designation. These were supposed to be soup bowls but unless you like tepid soup, completely unusable as such. Very disappointed.

But they are a little pricy for the size but other than that they are just perfect for serving small portions. It didn't say anywhere on the sticker if they are microwave proof, so that's the only concern right now, if I can use it in the microwave or not.

We've owned a dozen of these and all but one has broken. 1) 1/2 full of warm (not hot) soup: shattered in front of my wife, right on the table. 2) Hot out of the dish washer: exploded in my hands as I'm reaching to put it away (happened about five times) 3) cracked three of them by placing them in the sink with some other dishes 4) Caught it before it fell to the floor, and it broke in my hands anyway without touching the floor.

Designing for the tastes of people around the world
