The self-storing leaf is easy to insert to extend the table and just as easy to remove and tuck away under the table top when your guests have gone home.

Each table top has a unique expression since it is made of solid acacia, a natural material with lively colour shifts and grain patterns that ages gracefully over time.

The smart design means that the table top has no seams when you use the table without extending it.

The sturdy underframe in powder-coated steel is easy to clean with a damp cloth.

Plastic feet protect the furniture when in contact with a damp surface.

Care

The best way to extend the life of your wooden outdoor furniture is by cleaning it regularly, not leaving it outdoors unprotected more than necessary, and re-staining it on a regular basis.

Clean: Use a mild soapy solution. Wipe dry with a clean dry cloth.

Maintenance: To prevent the surface from drying out and cracking, and moisture from penetrating into the wood, we recommend you to re-stain the furniture on a regular basis, for example once or twice a year.

Storing: If possible, store in a cool dry place indoors. If the furniture is stored outside, cover it with a waterproof cover. After a rain or snowfall, wipe off excess water or snow from flat surfaces. Allow air to circulate to avoid condensation.

Cracked after one day of sun exposureDavidThe design is nice, semi « the built-in » extension is very convenient and assembling it was fairly easy. However, one of the wooden slates on the top cracked after one day of sun exposure. I had it delivered from Quebec or Ottawa because it is not available anymore in Montreal. I definitely do not want to go through the hassle of returning it (getting to Ikea from MTL is quite the adventure nowadays and that’s not Ikea’s fault) and reordering a new one and paying delivery fees a second time. It’s not the end of the world, it’s wood and it happens so I’ll fix it. Nevertheless, would’ve been nice to have a product that is not « aesthetically «  defective.3

A metal support rod for the expandable leaf was missing from the box, so the key feature I bought it for is useless. When I went to the store for help, they told me they couldn't give me the part because the table is out of stock. That was weeks ago, and I'm still waiting. I'm writing this review in the hope that the online customer service team can find a solution for me. Please help me get the missing part so I can finally use my table as intended.1
Do Not Buy This TableCrystalAfter less than two months of use the wood plank warped, completely separating from the screw. It is now unusable and a safety hazard. I contacted customer service and was told IKEA outdoor products only come with a 90 day return/warranty period. Do not buy this table unless you only want to use it for a few months. Very disappointing and I now have to shop for another outdoor table (which will definitely not be from Ikea).1
Looks solidMelissaWe had an old version with extendable wings, all wood and loved it, we recently got this one, seems solid, let's see how much it will last with no rust. It's smaller than the older version, that's the downside, we could sit 14 people in he other table 8 squished on this one.4

Good for our balcony.

The table needed to be narrow to fit on our balcony but still be able to sit upto 6 people, it is sturdy and built to a high standard (as you would expect from IKEA!!).
