Not for potatoesKathrynI didn't see a label that said Fruit cutter, so I'll try this on softer veg and fruit but I had hoped it would be good for fries (either regular or sweet potatoes). It's not.

Sturdy & SharpShelleyI've had other slicers but this is the first one I've tried which has a base to hold the food. It makes cutting apples, potatoes etc. much easier as the food doesn't tip over. Very effective.
