Nothing fits in this FrancoisAs many already mentioned, the small dividers are too short for your regular cutlery and the big ones are not big enough to fit spatulas. So what are these made for? I will return it. I love IKEA, the design, the attention to details, but this one is a big fail. 1
Small compartments are way too smallKouroshDon't know how they managed to sell one of these without returns. The small compartments are way too short, won't fit anything but a teaspoon. The large compartments are unnecessarily long, so they could easily move the divider 1" north and it would be perfect. However this is useless for anything but tableware for elves, or someone who has 5 sets of teaspoons and just 3 x-large knives and forks.1
Doesn’t fit IKEA SilverwareAshleyI measured my drawer and this is the perfect size. Didn’t consider measuring the length of the compartments though, which was my mistake. Since this was sold right next to the silverware in the store, I assumed IKEA silverware would fit… but it doesn’t! I have a pretty standard IKEA silverware set with 2 sizes of forks, 2 sizes of spoons, and knives, so logically I figured I would be able to use the 5 smaller sections for that silverware, but the silverware is too long, except the smaller spoons and forks. And then if I try to turn it around to use the larger compartments, they are much too large and there are only three of them, making it quite awkward. And the smaller compartments don’t fit any of my other standard items either, like IKEA steak knives or straws or scissors. Just so surprised and disappointed that the dimensions don’t work for IKEA silverware.1

Ok but Could be betterJeanQuality wise this is great. I like the ability to adjust the smaller compartments. And it fits very nicely into IKEA drawers. But I find it a bit awkward size-wise for utensils. It seems like they could make a better dedicated utensil organizer. The big compartments are so big. There could probably be 4 across and they could be shorter to allow the smaller sized compartments a bit more space. My smaller utensils are awkwardly placed in the small compartments.3

Give some love to your kitchen drawers

If the kitchen is the heart of the home, the kitchen cabinets and drawers are the heart of the kitchen. We created UPPDATERA interior organizers to make it easier to keep those drawers in order and find what you are looking for. So that the kitchen utensils you can’t live without are close at hand when you whisk that sauce or taste that soup – even if you don’t have an IKEA kitchen today.

When everything is easily accessible in cabinets and drawers, you can focus on the fun things in the kitchen, like cooking, baking and setting the table. Or just getting dinner out of the way because you have other things to do.

More flexibility on the inside

IKEA has had cutlery trays, knife trays and other kitchen interiors in the range for a long time, but interviews with our customers made it clear that they needed to be updated. The inside of the kitchen might not be flexible enough when people develop new needs, tells Manuel Courela who was involved in the development of UPPDATERA. “The everyday in the kitchen changes, just like life itself. You meet someone and the family grows, you become a dedicated home cook or decide to go all-in for a new diet. Then it’s practical if the inside of the kitchen easily can join the ride.” Manuel shows how the cutlery caddy can be moved around and used in different ways. “Lift it out and put directly on the table when it’s time for dinner. Or store bottles with oil and vinegar in it.”

Adapt to your own kitchen

The idea with UPPDATERA is to make the interior organizers more flexible. The add-on tray in plastic is a good example. Place it next to a cutlery or utensil tray for a perfect fit and utilize the drawers in your existing kitchen better – no matter the size of them. “Not everyone has a kitchen from IKEA, but everyone can have IKEA functionality on the inside of their kitchen. We hope that the different UPPDATERA products will make a big difference without a big investment.”
