Not the quality I expectedAnonymous reviewerUnfortunately, I returned this item. I was initially excited to have found a reasonably priced filing cabinet for my light duty needs. However, when I unboxed it and put it together, I came to realize that it was not even close to the quality I needed/expected. The return process was easy and customer service was top tier. This is the first it I have ever returned to IKEA.

Mind your fingers!JaneAfter eventually assembling this item it looks good but my advice to purchasers is to get task rabbit to put this together for you. The bending of metal tabs is not easy and I did manage to stab myself twice with screwdriver trying to do this.
I am usually adept at putting Ikea together but this was a challenge!
I guess the price is right but you get what you pay for!
The illustrations of the drawer sliders could be better, larger.

When I placed my files in it they all fell over. There is no way to hang files in the drawer. Perhaps I'm missing something?
Useful little drawerAnonymous reviewerA lot of reviews here seem to be written by people who miss the point that Ikea furniture is meant to be self assembled. The instructions could be better but aren't show stopping. It just requires a little thought before you commit to any assembly and it does require some flaps to be pushed in to secure. Took me just over an hour to put together and it rolls quite nicely. Don't rush the assembly and you'll be fine. The back panel tends to be VERY slightly uneven along one side and there doesn't appear to be a way to adjust but its not exposed. Would recommend.

3 years strongSarahI bought this 3 years ago, and it is perfect. I needed to replace a cabinet from Wayfair, and the quality of the Ikea cabinet is stronger than that of Wayfair.
Putting this filing cabinet together was not as easy as pie, which is why I removed a star, but it is sturdy and safe (the original Wayfair cabinet would fall forward if it were too heavy).
I recommend the IKEA cabinet, but I paid less than $90. Use that information as you please. It's a functional filing cabinet.
Exceeded my expectations SusanI have bought a lot of things from Ikea before but this is my first review. I needed something small and compact for my printer and a drawer to file some personal papers. This fit my needs perfectly. But after reading some reviews, I was hesitant. Since I couldn’t find anything else, I decided to give this one a try.
When I brought it home, it took me a total of an hour to assemble. It was so quick and easy. Quality is good. And the hanging folders definitely fit in the drawer. Just not how the photos show. I placed the hanging folders vertically rather than horizontally and it was perfect! So glad I went with this. I also decided not to install the wheels as I didn’t need to move it anywhere. I would highly recommend and don’t let the other reviews doubt your choice!

Not like the picture & Terrible assembly.ValerieI bought this thinking that I could fit hanging folders inside it just like the picture...and its false advertisement.
Letterhead & Legal hanging file folders DO NOT fit in the bottom drawer, which was my only reason for purchasing this item. Drove 1 hour for pickup, it would cost me more in gas to return this item. Very disappointed.

Very difficult to assemble + unclear instructionsCathyI’ve always been a customer of ikea and I have plenty of experience in assembling ikea furniture. However, assembling this product was the most frustrating and difficult out of all my past experiences. The instructions is not clear enough and causing a lot of back and forth/ trial and error period. I don’t like the fact that they use a lot of tabs and slot to fasten the steel metal together. Some slot are quite difficult to twist and it may be loose as well. During the assembling process, it required lots of flipping/ turning in order to get in assembled which is quite annoying. I would not recommend people to buy this unassembled unless you have prepared a whole day to play with it
