Bad quality - skip itRachelHad a terrible experience with this dresser: IKEA worker forgot one of the boxes at my in-store pickup, and then after I went *back* to pick up the missing box, got it home and assembled it and it turned it out to be a totally different shade of wood. Long, tiring customer service conversations trying to solve the issue. And beyond that, the drawers close awkwardly even after being professionally assembled. I had one of these dressers several years and loved it; it's too bad that the quality has gone down so much. This company is not what it used to be.1
Big drawersMaureenSo happy with my dresser. Exactly as described and easy to put together and by myself. I love that I can sand, stain and paint if my style changes. Was worried about off gassing but I didn't experience that. Purchased during a sale for $300 and considering I was looking at dressers over 500 extra happy with the amount I paid. Drawers close beautifully and there's tons of room.5
A solid dresser (that doesn't smell)MichaelI was looking for a something with reasonable amount of space to fit in a small bedroom, and this looked ideal. Numerous reviews, however, state that their dressers were off-gassing and that the smell was unbearable. I was worried, but since this is made from unfinished wood, I thought that I'd chance it. The floor model had a faint smell of pine, so I picked one up from the warehouse. I brought the boxes home, opened them up, and gave them a big huff. Indeed, they smell like unfinished wood. Is it strong? Not really. Is it what I was expecting? Yes. It's unfinished wood. Assembly was pretty straightforward, but it does take a while. Everything fit together, as it should, and I really have no complaints. I've given it 4 stars only because the sliders aren't the best. It would be nice to have something with a softer close and adjustments to even the gaps between the drawers. I may switch these out later. For $300 (on sale), though, it's quite acceptable and will last a long time.4

Very disappointed- there is no way this is healthy to breathe in. We should have returned immediately. 1
Missing holes MeredithOne of the back boards has no holes making it absolutely impossible to assemble.
Very disappointing. We don’t live near an IKEA and had this product shipped to us. Now we have to go through the hassle of a return. 1
Still a decent piece of furniture!TammyI’ve owned these dressers in the past and recently purchased another set. They were discontinued for a bit and just brought back with improvements. The back of the dresser now consists of solid pieces of MDF, which is a huge improvement from the thin piece of cardboard like material that had to be nailed onto the old model. There are other slight improvements throughout as well. What I don’t like is the drawer bottoms still have no form of support, and depending on the piece of furniture you get, the sides of the dressers can either be a single solid piece of wood or several strips of wood pieced and glued together to look like one piece. It bothers me since I have both sizes of this dresser and one of each type side, they don’t match. Other than that assembly is easy if you pay attention to the instructions. The pictures show EXACTLY where the holes should be on all pieces, if you watch what you’re doing there’s no reason you should be mixing up pieces or assembling it incorrectly.4
Good but…TammyBesides a thin crack on the top that I chose to ignore because I planned to paint it, I’ve had it in my hallway for months due to a strong chemical smell that is literally make me feel sick and miserable. It’s in the hallway because it gave me headaches having it in my bedroom. Why is it still off gassing? It’s sturdy and beautiful, but IKEA, please help me with the strong smell. Please! 3
I've owned these for almost 5 years.RochellePrice - current price is not bad - personally I would wait for a sale to buy them but overall good value for your money.
Assembly - I watched a video on youtube before even attempting to construct this - I found that this helps with all Ikea assemblies. If I just relied on the instructions the pieces would still be on my floor to this day.
Product quality - this product is intended for DIYers. You should expect to sand, paint, wax, seal or what ever you need to finish the piece. Because of this ability to customize, I love my dresser, I added some oversized handles, painted the drawer fronts and left the top nude (just sealed it). My only issue is the the drawer bottoms are not wood and over time, if you over stuff the drawers, the bottoms warp as there is no centre support. I just added my own support but the dresser should have been designed with this - for this reason I would give this a 3.5 but I rounded up to 4 b/c 3.5 is not a possible rating. 4
AvoidCeilidhTook ages to put together. Even when meticulously following the instructions, the drawers don't fit or open/close smoothly. Absolute waste of money. IKEA has really downgraded in quality. Cheap screws that stripped so easily that metal shavings ended up in my eyes. Unbelievable.1
This broke my brain TanyaThe instructions are...Ikea instructions, but there is little indication on the physical boards what side is up vs down when all the holes are virtually the same.
It is absolutely not built correctly in our bedroom but it's standing and holding clothes.
Dents really easily, if that is going to bother you get something for the top of it. 3
High quality, sturdy, long lastingVirginiaIf you assemble these properly, the drawers close. It is super sturdy, high quality (very heavy), is real raw wood you can stain it, paint it or leave it. I bought two of these over a year ago and nothing has changed. You can also change or upgrade the nobs. I did buy them on special (ikea summer sale 2023) for a third of the price, though i would still re-purchase at the regular price but i got lucky!5
