cutie cheap little lampAshleySuper light and easy to carry home and assemble. Offers a nice warm glow to the room- no regrets buying it. Definitely cheap and feels a little flimsy. Two things- the top lamp shade part doesn't fit/click into the lamp properly so it kind of just perches on top lopsided and may fall sometimes. It is also lopsided, it just isn't straight.

Affordable NavneetThis affordable lamp offers great value for its price. It looks pretty aesthetic.
Nice Lamp, but keep in mind the design has changedJasonI've bought many of these lamps (regular + reading) from IKEA over the years, and they've always worked fine.
However, I picked up a couple last week, and it is clear that the design has changed a bit. Specifically:
- The base is narrower than it used to be. This could be a positive thing for some people who don't have much floor space. But it can be a negative for others, because the narrower base can make it less stable. In my case, I had to perch one of these lamps on top of a small plank of wood because it didn't like my wobbly carpet.
2. The top is also narrower (probably a necessity given the smaller base).
3. Previously, the shade was screwed down with a plastic ring that fit over the bulb housing. This created a tight seal between the bottom of the shade and the top of the lamp. In the new style, the shade manually 'snaps' down (not screwed in). As a result, a small amount of light can seep out.
Overall, I still recommend this lamp and the price is amazing.

The only thing I see is that it could be possible to have the wire passed through the hollow tubes and somehow have a floor switch, where you can turn it on/off by stepping on it!
It would be even better!

No spare parts!?KirstinI really like these lamps, I bought 2 of them about 2 years ago. I recently moved, during my move the top white shading broke on both of them and one of the screws to attach the extensions got lost. I cannot order these parts because they don't seem to sell them separately. They still do their job, but it would be nice to have the full lamp as I bought it.
