Unhealthy Plant -scale insects RimI purchased a Bird of Paradise plant from IKEA Edmonton, and once I got home, I noticed it had clear signs of pests (black scale insects on the stems) and damaged leaves. The plant was not in good condition.
Very big plant for the priceMichelaThe plant was in great shape when I bought it. Very healthy with lots of bright green leaves. It's doing great in its new pot. The price was a little higher than I normally would pay for a plant, but it's huge. You get a lot for the money.

Bad shape but nice plantKarinaWanted this plant for a while, unfortunately don't live near ikea to check in every plant delivery day for new plants. The ones already in store are badly infested wih mealies, shorn leaves and what looks like rot in stems...unless delivered and brought out of storage same day, these need a lot of TLC. Hope it recovers, in isolation now treated with Neem so it won't infect all my other rare plants.
