Beautiful floor lampVioletI saw all the 1 stars reviews but decided to purchase 2. I was careful assembling the lamps since most of the issues come from other people were getting rips in the paper. I can successfully say I put together 2 lamps with no rips. You just have to be careful and line up the paper so it snaps at the bottom. If you want a cheap lamp, this one is amazing!
Not sure if it's worth itJorgeFollowed the instructions and still ripped the bottom of the paper :) pretty flimsy inside but not hard to put together. You truly get what you pay for, I wouldn't recommend.
Alas not worth the priceMary-CateIt is fiddly to put together, the components don’t hold well/at all. Needs glue in some of main components bits repeatedly fall out. Wanted so much to like but honestly a waste of even the little I paid for it.
DO NOT BUYSoraVery poorly made. Even putting everything on correctly, sticks inside and paper don’t hold well so ended up using tapes. But tapes also can’t hold well and after a few minutes it just collapses. Paper part breaks easily as well. Worst purchase ever from ikea. It’s cheap, but you’ll get what you paid for.
Easy AssemblyAshIf you have 2 brain cells to rub together, you can assemble this lamp in 5 minutes.
Material is VERY flimsy, but it’s a paper lamp so that’s just how it is. Be careful and you’re fine.
Avoid! Choose anything else!ClareI bought two. I put the first one together very carefully. Then i tried to gently move it, but it fell apart. Undaunted, I tried to put it back together again. Every time I finished the final step of pulling the lampshade down and fastening at the bottom, the internal structure fell apart. The internal structure is so flimsy it is like stacking plastic pick-up sticks one atop the other. I spent an hour, repeatedly rebuilding the internal structure only to have it collapse every time I pulled the shade back down. I even tried to put blue tac in between the pieces of the internal structure so that they would stay stuck together better, but that didn't work. I really gave it everything I had because I was putting it up for my senior mother with dementia and she was there watching me. Halfway through the poor woman was pleading with me to just throw it in the garbage. In the end, I put it all in a garbage bag and I plan to bring it and the unopen one back to the store.
Flimsy, Hard to Keep TogetherEmelI don’t need to add more than what has already been said. I can’t complete the final step where the lamp is stretched down over the bottom part because it’s not reaching and keeps tearing little holes when I try. Oh well.
Flimsy and fell apart OliviaI followed step by step carefully, but the 3 pieces that hold the bulb are flimsy and as I pulled down the shade it fell over and poked a hole right through it. The paper design does not seem durable and just connecting the poles together doesn’t seem to hold either. They should be screwed in… way too flimsy
Looks unstable at first, but works perfectlyArielImportant: make sure to follow the instructions and images all the way to the end. At one point I was very disappointed because the lamp looked unstable, but then I realized the paper shade needs to be pushed much further down to align with the base. Once I did that, everything was centered, stable, and perfect.
delightfulAndreaProvides a cheerful glow in my dim hallway. It might take a bit of extra care to attach the shade to the base as the shade feels papery, but we had no problem. I have all sorts of types of lamps but this one creates a lot of gentle glow that makes me happy.
Broke on AssemblyNatashaThe Little plastic foot/clamp and the paper shade broke immediately when trying to put the lamp together, despite careful and slow handling. Unimpressed I spent my time and money on this product, and would hope that IKEA would reconsider its design. Not happy that refunds aren't available for such a flimsy item since it's no longer in "re-saleable" condition. Tossed it out the night I bought it.
Don't botherAdriannaGenuinely the worst purchase I've ever made at Ikea. You can't even look at this lamp without it completely falling apart and tearing through the weak paper. Constantly falling apart not only at the middle base but the little leg attachments as well. Threw this hunk of garbage out. Complete waste of money!
Broke Before it Was TogetherNicholeThis is not recommended. The small plastic brackets affixing the stand to the base are soft and all 3 broke off as I attempted to put it together. A quick peek at Reddit shows it's not just me, a lot of folks have had this issue. Skip this one.
UpdateJenI recently wrote a good review on the lamp. How eve like other have said the paper is just to thin and to tight. I was able to get them on, but last week I had to move the lamp, grabbed it from the top metal (not the paper) and the bottom ripped all the way around.
Disappointed as there should be more give to the paper or a way to move the lamp a couple ff

Bring back the old HOLMO lamps!IsabelI got some to replace my old HOLMO paper lamps that got ripped, but the quality on these new ones are terrible. The bottom stand isn’t heavy enough and not level. The light sockets aren’t equal across all lamps (some are higher or lower).
The old ones had better consistency and quality, plus they were $5 less!
Perfect!JenBetter than I expected! Very easy to put together. Some reviews had trouble with the rice paper ripping, but as long as you stretch it out end to end before putting it on it fits like a glove.
as expectedKayleegood product for price. easy enough to set up, just be careful to not rip the paper shade when pulling it over the supports (requires more force than you think). would buy again
