Poor Quality ControlWilson1 shelf front arrived scratched and another packaged had damaged plastic screws. The plastic screws are really an IKEA cutback from their metal ones they used to have. They break too easily. Had to go back to the store twice to get more parts and have parts replaced. Yikes!1

Packing wonky, aside from that love itFinleyBought first one, huge scratch on one side. Called call centre, After Sales opened a file for me, no one ever reached back out to me. Went back in store to return and get a new one- the new one ALSO had a huge scratch along the side. Pretty sure it's a packaging issue as both dressers had the scratch on the same piece, and same location. I don't have the energy to go back in store to return it, and disappointed no one called me back as they were supposed to. Aside from that, works and looks great, I just wish there wasn't a huge scratch on the side...4
Two MonthsSamThis dresser was exactly what I wanted for my space but the drawer mechanism is too complex and it failed by itself within 2 months of purchase. The drawers now do not open at all, they are all locked when previously one was able to be opened at a time which was fine. I do not recommend.1

I was almost not considering it after reading some of the negative reviews.
They are wrong. This chest has a very heavy bottom and back, and an integrated safety feature that allows only one drawer to be opened at a time, unless you screw it to the wall. Since we are not worried about it tipping over (remember it‘s very heavy at the bottom) we are just fine with one drawer opening at a time.
It is as simple or as hard to put together as any other IKEA furniture.
Build quality is fine.
I‘d say: We’ll done IKEA adding innovative safety features.

never againStephenParts are not labelled. Diagram instructions are vague and hard to follow. Took three hours to assemble one, second one was almost as difficult. Had someone assemble . Not worth the cost or effort. However, the colour is good, hoping they will function a year. Drawers are flimsy. If you are going to purchase, watch the YOUTUBE assembly video, it helps. Or have it assembled by Taskrabbit.2
Extremely poor qualityAlanaPutting this dresser proved to be difficult. Three dowels busted through the side of the dresser in two areas leaving holes and exposed pressed board. The quality of this item was shockingly poor in relation to what I had purchased in the past. There were pieces missing from the parts bag provided and not every hole lined up with a nail/screw etc.1
3 Drawer CabinetSandraI put this together on my own. Was not hard to do great instructions and drawers, slide smoothly, and the cabinet looks amazing. I bought two to put MDF board on top for a long desk.5

The quality is not the same. The drawers seem smaller and it is more flimsy. IKEA bring back the older malm dressers.3

very poor qualityShirinI bought this because in my previous hour that was furnished, there was this drawer and it was sturdy and good. But after paying around $200 for this (with tax and delivery), I came to be disappointed because the material is so poor and cheap. I don't like it at all and it's not worth the price you pay. But I don't have a car so it would only cost me more to bring it back. will do for a year or two I guess. But I would not recommend this to anyone. 3
