Sick Of Ikea's Quality ControlMatthewI'm really floored by Ikea's quality control. This is the third item I've purchased in the last two years that's been one of their premium priced cabinets. EVERY cabinet has had a defect. Not a shipping dent, not a store mishandling dent, a FACTORY dent. Or, in the case of this Stockholm cabinet, defective veneer that's peeling away from one of the corners. I can't begin to describe how frustrating it is to drive 4 hours to Ikea, buy the item you want, drive it all the way home, have to assemble it yourself, and it's DAMAGED. I'm pretty sure the paint on my truck is thicker than the veneer on this cabinet. I'm officially done Ikea. I can't continue on giving them what I consider HUGE money for this stuff when it can't even pass basic QA/QC in the factory. What am I supposed to do now? Pack it up, lug it back down my stairs and drive it 4 hours back to Ikea? I'll find everything I need at actual furniture stores from now on.
