Stitching IssuesJaneI love Ikea products!! Unfortunately, I've purchased 2 of these King size duvets over the last 9 months. I bought the first one and all of the stitching starting pulling down the seams from where it attached to the trim that goes all the way around the duvet. I thought maybe it was a one off, so I ordered another one. The exactly same thing happened to it. It seems like where the stitching meets the edging isn't reinforced. I bought 3 duvets from IKEA over 4 years ago and have washed them weekly and the stitching is still perfect on all of them. I just wanted to get new ones as they get a little dingy after awhile. The reason I love these duvets as I can fit a King size in a regular size washing machine and doesn't take long to dry it. I will be buying another one, but I'm going to reinforce the stitching where it meets the trim and hopefully it won't pull away this time.3

Not a true king size duvet, avoidKentI bought this as a spring/summer duvet. Wow was that a mistake. I will admit I did not look at the dimensions because I didn't think IKEA would penny pinch that bad on a duvet but they did. The dimensions fall short of what a king size would be for length according to searching the internet, and the width is at the bare minimum. The replies are typical from what I see in the comments by IKEA saying theres variance etc....but I assure you this is awful because you would only get this on a king sized bed sleeping with someone else. If someone even tucks their duvet slightly you have a massive deficit on bed coverage and this duvet currently does not cover my king sized mattress made by one of the most reputable brands out there.1

Stitching finish is poorMichelleI purchased a twin duvet and washed it before putting it on the bed. However, during the first wash, a lot of the horizontal stitching that is meant to keep the stuffing in place, started coming out at the sides. I thought it might be a quality issue for that batch, so I exchanged for a new one. Before I washed this new one, I checked the stitching, and it can be easily pulled out, as it is not backstitched to hold the stitches in place at the end if each row. I like the duvet itself, but if it's advertised to hold up to washing, it needs to have better stitching. It is an easy fix to reinforce the stitching, but I don't want to pay full price for something that I need alter myself in order to use it!2

When you put inside the duvet cover which is 86x86 according to package, the duvet does not fit corner to corner

CAUTION SalinaBought this comforter a year ago. Noticed the threads started to give out and would cut them.. this does the same thing to my queen size in the same style from IKEA. The last week my son’s leg got tangled in one of the threads and he woke up screaming!!!!! We cut the threads but sometimes they are hard to see as they are white on a white comforter. Today I put my baby down on the floor bed with the comforter on top… her ankle somehow got twisted and I took my eye off her for a minute to put clothes away!!!! Her ankle is red because of the loose thread. I will NOT be buying this product and parents be warned. 1
