Good price, but beam rips apart EmmaCame with the bed frame I ordered. Great for the first few months, then the creaking started. At first I thought it was the slatted bed base, however one night the bed base fell down and I saw that the support beam itself was the issue. The beam has actually torn almost fully in half at the end where it meets the bed frame. I will have to order a new one, hopefully it will last a little longer. At least it is a good price! 2
Bed support fails every 4 monthsDarylI have had to replace this middle support on my daughter’s bed twice in less than 8 months. Where it attached to the head board and foot board this metal support rips apart and the slats fall down, her mattress then falls onto the drawers under her bed. The drawers are breaking now. I am going to revamp the support beam with a 2x6 and some joist hangers instead on the “metal” support.1
Terrible productIvayloIf you need this part, get ready and buy spare ones because the quality isn't there at all! This is a perfect example of a product that is supposed to serve you a half a year! A cheap part made with a weak metal that breaks always on the two side where the hinges are1
Make sure you ask for this since no one tells you you need itYuxuanBought the NEIDEN full bed frame back in 2018, and only after all these years of sleeping on it was I then told these needed to be bought separately. No one has told us that this bed frame needed the center support beams. I had to put wooden planks on the slatted bed base so I don't fall below the bed frame. Neither was there a part number attached to the beam in the manual or anyone in Ikea told us when we purchased this bed frame in-store we needed extra hardware. Now I need to find more hardware so I can properly sleep on this bed frame. 1

Don't Buy!Anonymous reviewerMy daughter has a disability and doesn't understand the importance of telling me when things happen. I went to do something in her room and tried to flip her mattress and the part that goes into the bracket had bent! I know this much have happened months ago, while within our warranty. Why would I want to buy another one? Have you upgraded the product? I'd rather go elsewhere and buy 1 bed that will last. SAVE YOUR $1

Pretty sturdy, but needs support.BethWe bought this to replace a damaged Skorva. We had a friend sleep over for 2 nights who was quite heavy, and the bar ended up bent. Thankfully it is not expensive, so replacing it was simply a trip to Ikea and some labour. We added in 2x4 supports under it, and this one should last indefinitely.4
Another Skorva failure storyErikHad it installed in my king size. Extension end at the headboard failed, tore through the steel on the brace and folded the mounting bracket. As I am not interested in buying a new bedframe I am hoping my local Ikea will replace it.1

AnnoyedPatriciaUnfortunately with most ikea beds this is the beam that is used. This is the third one I’ve had to replace (on different beds). This beam usually only lasts a couple of years. Fortunately it is priced well so it’s not a huge expense. Just annoying to have to replace something that should last a long time!2
