Install is difficultHilaryPrice is great but install is a real pain. There is a complicated mounting method that requires some of the screws to be slotted in but the others to be directly screwed in, making it complicated to get the spacing correct. Likely wouldn't buy again
Shelf bracketsMargarethaThese brackets are beautiful and sturdy. They are easy to install with the option of which arm goes into wall and which arm provides the shelf support. They look beautiful.
Bracket is Nice but IKEA could include some SCREWS!!!NerissaNot including screws for the slots for the wall and to hold the shelf on is a real pain because you need to go find screws with the proper heads that will fit. It would be nice if IKEA actually included these screws with the brackets along with some white screws to secure the bracket to the wall and the shelf for the open drilled holes.
Very bad designCandiceThe fact you have to slide the screw in makes it very wobbly and not as secure as if there was a proper hole to screw in tighly... Require a very specific type os screw that makes it impossible to use sure heavy duty option. Over all bad and flimsy.

No pri-drilled holes in the shelf also makes it hard to align properly.

Very UnsafeKimberly JaneMost recent design of these brackets is terrible. Last fall, I installed 4 shelves with these brackets. I used 10 brackets in total. So far, 2 out of the 4 shelves carrying loads under the weight limit have catastrophically failed and caused damage to items on the shelf as well as the objects they fell on. Brackets did not last a year. All brackets fell apart in the same spot. It's clear that they are not connected together well. These brackets used to be made so much better. Extremely dissapointing and upsetting given the damage these have caused.
They do what they sayM.These supports do hold the weight they are supposed to hold. They are attractive (although I'd also appreciate a darker wood option). The angled support is a more gradual angle and takes more room than I thought it would, so my tiered shelves have some wasted space on either end. That is one of the difficulties of purchasing online.
As with many IKEA pieces, I had to hire someone to install them. Although IKEA is often fun to put together it is frequently not arthritis friendly.

Came ApartMiraMy shelf fell down. My partner spent a lot of time setting this shelf up and making sure we had to right amount of brackets, that the brackets are on studs and that making sure he did it all correctly. We woke up to it falling off our wall and I am very disappointed. It looked like they didn't add enough wood glue to the joints. We ended up going to buy more wood glue for it. We will be trying to contact customer service about this.
