Laminate countertops are very durable and easy to maintain. With a little care, they stay like new for many years.

You can cut the countertop to the length you want and cover the edges with the included edging strip.

The thicker countertop (1½") with straight front edge works perfectly in a modern style kitchen.

Create a perfectly coordinated look by combining this countertop with a matching wall panel.

  • Even though laminate is a durable material you should never place hot pots or pans directly on the countertop without a trivet or pot stand.

    Not suitable for use in damp rooms.

    Care

    Wipe clean with a soft cloth dampened with water and a mild dish detergent or soap, if necessary.

    Wipe dry with a clean cloth.

    Always use a chopping board, never cut directly on the countertop with a knife. Never pull an object with rough or ragged edges across the countertop as it can scratch the surface.

    To prevent permanent stains on the countertop, wipe clean spills or messes immediately with a soft cloth dampened in water and a mild washing-up detergent or soap.

  • Supporting legs are required when an overhang exceeds 10". The maximum distance between these legs should not be more than 32".

The BestMaryI did not like my quartz colour for years. Rather than replace it all, I replaced just the island with the Saljan countertop. The material is so durable and it looks like real wood without worrying about it warping or having to oil it occasionally. I love my kitchen again and it was such a cheap fix with an awesome quality product. We also have this product in our other home everywhere in the kitchen for over 5 years and it still looks as amazing as when we first installed it. 5

What are foil and laminate?

Some wood materials need protection with a durable and easy-care foil or laminate surface. The choice depends on the end use and desired finish. We often use paper foil for storage furniture, while plastic foil suits demanding areas like kitchens and bathrooms. Today, the plastic we use is mostly recycled and our goal is to use plastic from renewable sources. Laminate is made of resin-impregnated paper, which adds a durable and moisture-resistant surface for countertops.
