Disappointed DawnWe took extra care deciding to buy this chair. The style and materials used appealed to us. Unfortunately, after hours of trying to put it together we've decided to return it. As others have mentioned the holes to assemble the chair do NOT LINE UP. I had hoped those who posted this same problem had a "lemon", a one off that missed the quality control line. This isn't a disposable chair, nor is it inexpensive. IKEA, no one has extra time to go through this time consuming process of buying a faulty product. Please remove it from your catalogues until it truly meets your standards of excellence . 1
Doesn’t fit properly DebOne of the large bolts could not be fully screwed into the rear of the chair we tried everything power tools the works not only that one of the sides of the chair protrudes by an inch so the bolt was included doesn’t fit. I went to a hardware store and I purchased same size bolt half-inch longer but it doesn’t match up and it won’t catch threads in the tube that its supposed to fit through on one of the sides, the front leg is thicker than the one on the other side. This doesn’t work no way no how. when I picked this up at the furniture pick up the clerk took my receipt to verify I paid it but neglected to give it back to me and I didn’t realise that so I can’t even return i. I was told to phone TaskRabbit to see if they could help me put it together. There’s absolutely no way that you can get through on that line. That is just bogus. I’m very very disappointed with this. In the end we’re probably gonna have to use zip ties to try to put it together , as I can’t return it. Very unhelpful staff when I phoned about this problem I’ve been a lifelong IKEA shopper and I’ve never had this much trouble putting anything together and it’s not just myself. I’ve had handyman look at it as well.1

Material

Plastic rattan

Plastic rattan has the same expression as natural rattan, but is suited for outdoor use. It’s easy to clean, handwoven, and durable. It withstands rain, snow, and low and high temperatures. In freezing temperatures, plastic rattan can weaken and is not recommended for use. Our plastic rattan outdoor furniture is both UV stabilized and fade resistant, which means it will look fresh and new longer.
