Bad dresserAutumnI had got this dresser for Christmas it was easy to put together but after the first month the front of all of the drawers were falling off. Also all of the sliders for the drawers are plastic and if you keep and sort of heavy clothing like jeans or hoodies they break. It’s probably the worst dresser I’ve had.2
Smells badYoussefThis is the second one I buy, the first one had 3 drawers and I bought it from Montreal before I returned it. Both had the same problem, the wood is smelling bad1
Cost saving solid pine dresser for small spacesValerieI’ve had the single rast dressers for over a decade and love them. This one works well for at the end of a bed in a small space as it isn’t as deep as most dressers.5
Broke really fast !!!!ShontelleI only had this dresser for a couple weeks and one of the dresser drawers broke on me !! I have had other ikea furniture but this dresser just doesn't hold up id skip the buy1
Good, but could be betterBarryI chose this dresser because of its six drawers. But I find that it could be better if the drawers were deeper and came out a little farther than six inches when opened. Otherwise it is a good product and would be great in a child's room or nursery. The fact that it is unfinished means you can dress it up any way you want. I used just a mineral oil to seal the wood to keep dirt from staining it.4
Piece missing pre-drilled holesCherylI ordered online since I don't live near a store. Taking it apart and reboxing it just to get a replacement isn't worth the hassle after spending hours assembling it. I should have listened to the negative reviews and stayed away. This is my first and last purchase from IKEA.1
Poor qualityAloraThe drawers broke within a few months, the plastic sliding parts cracked and broke and now the drawers won’t slide out properly. Unable to replace the parts the broke. 1
Failures with the rails PierreThe furniture is very practical and comfortable, the problem is its displacement rails are plastics and they do not have to withstand sudden movements, the furniture I bought for my son and I have already broken two drawers.
Besides, IKEA has no separate sale of the rails or any other that they recommend for that failure. 3
Not wroth the $, Ikea cut corners and quality is a concernMustafaIkea cut corners all over the place here. From slides that work by friction and are not lubed (these are not roller slides, just slots in), to not accurate pre-drill holes, to screws and components that break and bend, to wood that has remnants from factory such as non sanded dings on edges, chipped in the middle, and pencil marks still randomly written on top.
This is a horrible product, shouldn't be sold, and it reflects badly on Ikea..
Instructions weren't confusing, some were complaining but they're alright. My 8 y.o was able to follow them1
It’s okay at bestMckennaI mean it works for what I need it… but I’ve only had it for a year and two of the plastic drawer rails have broken which sucks because now the drawers do not stay in place properly. I’m not sure if there is a way to get extras but that would fix my issue! Other than that, it’s a decent dresser but it is quite small so I wouldn’t recommend it for a primary storage space2
Does the jobAprila little reinforcement and this was the perfect addition to my room. Going to stain it and decorate it.4
It's not strongSoosanhfThe price is high compared to the quality, but considering its high cost, it’s not worth buying. For example, the drawer rails are not properly designed at all and are only suitable for something like toys.1
Poor quality! not worth itHaidehHad this for only a couple of months with light use, and it’s already falling apart. The drawer rails don’t stay in place, drawers barely slide, and some even come off. The wood is very thin and feels cheap.
Assembly was frustrating too — instructions are unclear, and since it’s unfinished wood, you’ll literally get splinters while building it.
Overall, it feels poorly made and not durable at all. Honestly not worth the price — better to spend a bit more elsewhere for something that lasts. 1
Confusing assembly and faulty woodCatherineThis dresser has very confusing instructions, parts that feel like they don’t fit anywhere, and the drawers kept falling off the rails. The two sides of the dresser don’t stay together, and everything falls apart. Shame. Also, the box contained a badly warped piece of wood, rendering one drawer completely unusable. All in all I am very disappointed. For $200, I expected at the very least a functional dresser.2
AwfulAsmaTerrible design! Had so much difficulty putting it together - the design makes no sense, as other people have noted. I have used it for about a month and it’s no longer functional. Waste of money. Do not buy. 1
Draw slide falling apart.MartaPurchased two of these for the kids room. The first one we had to return within a week of purchased because it had issues during assembly. The tracks would not screw in place. This return was painful process since I don't live near ikea and my car could barely fit the product. Nonetheless we managed to exchange for a new one. Almost immediately after assembly the drawer slides were giving us issue. Now less then a year later they are completely broken and falling apart. Plastic is breaking, screws are falling out and the drawers are hanging.1
TerribleShannonI am having difficulty even assembling this dresser, the screws don't want to go all the way in and parts don't want to stay together. I've never had so much trouble with anything from ikea before, I wouldn't have bought this if I had known.1
Simple and NiceTaraI do really like the simplicity of this products design. I do have an issue with one drawer, the backing is a bit warped, not flat. It still goes on pretty good, however the draw tends to stick and its a bit of a struggle to open and close. I am not sure if the warp is the reason. I have taken it apart and put it back together several times, hoping that its just simple tweek to get it to slide better. I will most likely need to buy some bees wax or something to rub against the slide section of the drawer. Hopefully this will help.3
Fell ApartMegGently used by one person for less than a year before the tracks for 2 of the drawers snapped. Unfixable and completely useless.1
Cheap woodMargaretDresser is small and cheaply made. Wood is thin and cracks easily.4
