A misunderstood productArunI have been shopping at IKEA for more than a decade, but no other product I have bought has been so misunderstood as this one.
While this product is being sold as a mere 'storage furniture' it is actually an art piece. As fragile as a flower which will fall apart if you pull on the petals, nay drawers, with mild force. But yet the solid pine wood fragrance fills your senses, just like a flower.
So if you are thinking of buying it then do go ahead, but remember it is a piece of art and not some cheap piece of furniture.1
UGH - I went for cheap, and boy did I get cheap.JaimeOh man. Where to begin?
This dresser is great for someone on a budget that literally can NOT do better. Yet - there are better dressers at Ikea for the same price, so please, do better.
I just purchased the KILBERGET, 1 year after purchasing this dresser, for the SAME price - and boy oh boy what a difference in quality.
Rast's drawers are so freaking tiny, they hold 2 hoodies, maybe 4 tops, per drawer. The wood is so soft that the first time my cat scratched it, it CHUNKED off. Being that it has no feet, I feel like I need to kneel down to access it properly.
It's just.... man, it should be $40, and I'm not even exaggerating. Needs to be sanded for a smooth finish, sucks to touch.... sigh.1
Most Stressful BuildBiancaThe single most stressful IKEA build I’ve ever had. Holes not pre-drilled, items misaligned, holes not deep enough for screws provided and the wood split. Took ten times longer than it should have. All in all, fine, but don’t purchase expecting a quality product. A lot of sweat and super glue went into the final results. 1
Don’t buyNanjiaWorst ever. Got broken pieces and the holes are not aligned and not straight. Can’t even assemble.1
To small and very weakBernadetteThe drawers are falling apart won't stay on tracks2
The quality of grooved channels/guide rails ruins the entire chestAkashThe dresser has guide rails that go on the inside wall of the main structure. And the drawers have grooves. The guide rails slide into the grooves for the drawers to open and close. These guide rails are made up of plastic that cannot withstand the weight of the drawer. So, inevitably the rails either break with the screws still attached to the wood or come out entirely. Once that happens you cannot open or close the drawers. It would have been helpful if Ikea provided replacement rails or provided better quality rails to begin with.2
Waste of money JamesVery bad quality, I would suggest to spend a little more money on something better. 1
Perfect for my needsKimI bought this dresser for a small seasonal Bunkie and it fits perfectly. It was exactly as described and easy to assemble.5
Absolute GarbageLloydaciaBought it in October, and a few months later the drawers were not aligning and were falling off the hinges. I could not even open a drawer without it falling out. Now in June, its completely falling apart (only been 7 months)1
Great dresserTrudyI like this dresser, it is really nice. It was easy to assemble and it looks great in my bedroom. It's very sturdy and strong 5
Some flaws HectorThe drawer looks nice, the space is limited since is a slim version. The drawers don’t slide out much, so the most part of it is inside and it makes it dificult to access clothe. I have this issue where I have to be tiding the screws of the front of the drawer because they get loose. I didn’t returned it but I won’t buy it again. 2
Drilled holes are not satisfactory Anonymous reviewerIt is really hard to assemble if this is your first time working on assembling a dresser, I would recommend getting a professional’s help. Quality is good but the drawers are small so keep that in mind1
Fits perfectIreneDurable and size is perfect for our small space.5
JUST WHAT I NEEDEDSandyGREAT MY GRANDSON REALLY LIKES IT5
Disappointed DustinThe wooden parts were inconsistently drilled. There were sometimes holes where they needed to be and sometimes not. The holes didn’t always line up properly. The nails for the backing were made from a very soft metal and bent when hammering them in.
This is not a good product and is far below the standard of all other IKEA products we’ve bought over the years. 2
Very poor qualityShainaThe pieces used to hold the drawers together are very poor quality and some broke within a day. Having trouble finding replacement parts and my closest ikea is 2hrs away so unfortunately can’t pop in as I have young children and road trips aren’t fun. Also painted the dresser so a return was not an option. Drawers are small and don’t open enough for access to the back of drawer as well. Extremely disappointed. We typically love IKEA products but the quality of this one is just horrible. I’m not sure what people who are saying the quality is good are comparing it to? Definitely spend a bit more money for higher quality if you’re considering this dresser!1
Crafters DreamレベッカIt was perfect for wood burning to fit our style5
Great for the priceAnonymous reviewerWe bought two of these, one for each kid. They're very spacious but a short height for our short kids. My only complaint is because there is only one knob per drawer, it's hard for them to open them, definitely would benefit from two knobs per drawer. Strait forward build.3
Good qualityChristianIt was easy to assemble and it's a great quality5
Actually pretty good - Do not listen to the reviewsFrancisI wasn't sure about this since the reviews all say the same thing. It's difficult to build and it is flimsy. If you have a minimum of logic and are able to read the manual, the chest and drawer is actually quite simple to build. It has a lot of pieces so you have to be organized but other than that, it is sturdy and does what it needs to for a very cheap price. With 2 people, we built it under 1 hour. 4
