I bought a couple ofKatheenI bought a couple of these to put on top of my BALTSAR chairs. (I have the white ones with the beige padding) They are prone to soiling from my new kitty. The Pynten is smaller than the bespoke pads but they fit nicely on top of the Balstar pads. They keep the beige ones clean Ideally, I would just like to buy replacement Baltsar pads. Until IKEA starts to stock them, Pynten fits the bill.5

My butt is normal sizedLillianMy butt is normal sized but it is flat. Bought for an older gaming chair that was losing its comfort - it works well for comfort but it does not fit the larger seats of gaming chairs and slides around often. The lip near the front of the seat pad actually makes it so that you have to put closer to the front of the seat. The design would work well for a typical office chair but not a gamer's / executive chair. I bought it at about $11?CAD, but I think I overpaid slightly.4

Material

What is polyester?

Polyester is a durable, quick-drying and insulating material that is optimal to use for textiles and as filling in pillows, quilts and furniture. The material is made from crude oil – a limited resource. Since IKEA doesn’t want to contribute to more virgin oil being used, we are now gradually switching to recycled and traceable polyester from sources like PET bottles. What’s nice is that polyester can be recycled over and over, without changing or losing its great qualities.
