When Simple Isn’t Simple: The Produkt FrotherMaryamI expected the Produkt milk frother to be great, but it took far too long to figure out which batteries it needed and how to insert them. It came with no instructions, and the cap for the battery compartment is so tight and difficult to close that I was worried about breaking it. It ended up taking us 20 minutes just to set it up. I’m surprised that IKEA, a brand known for making things simple and user-friendly, has produced a product with no mention of AA batteries or clear guidance on battery orientation (+/–).2
Works wellJoanWhips milk and stirs in matcha powder well 5
Horrible design to put batteries in!MarinaWe had to spend close to 30 min just to put the batteries in! Were ready to throw the whole thing in the garbage already, but then decided to try to take the lid entirely off before placing the batteries. This was the only way we were able to get them in. Horrible design, shame on Ikea!1
works well but horrible battery systemValeriaI had to take the lid off of the battery compartment, open the sides up a little and then insert the AA batteries inside SUPER snug and proceeds to struggle to put the lid back on for like 5 minutes.
It should have been a MAX 1 minute thing. Anyway, it works, but if you can find a cheaper alternative (and with a better system), then don't go for this one.
Only reason I'm giving it 3 stars is because it works ha.3
bad.SumeetTerrible design when it comes to adding or removing batteries..1
Fantastic when batteries inserted Anonymous revieweri really loved how my milk tasted post using this frother. It was amazing! Remember: USE duracel battery otherwise it is a challenge getting the batteries inserted. Watch you tube channels on how to make batteries work before you discard. Honestly, LIKE when you. get batteries included, it is the BEST frother ever. So good! Totes recommend. 5
Weak, very difficult to insert batteries, but affordableJennyI only want this to mix powders and it does that after a bit of time. It's very weak. Dollar store quality describes it aptly.
Getting batteries in is extremely challenging, you have to put a AA in first and push it as far to the side as possible. Closing the top may help push it over. Then you can get the other one in (still a very tight squeeze).2
Good oneRajuValue for money4
Amazing gadget! AdrienneExcellent milk frother with quite a lot of power 5
Great milk frother!SheilaLove this frother. Works great much better than more pricier ones!5
Good milk frotherAlysounIt works, slightly under powered but does the job if you just immerse it for a few minutes longer. Incredible price. I like that it is metal so good for cold or hot!4
Best little gadget SheriLove it! Great for home /office/RV! Not to mention great little added something for a gift5
Worst cheap frother AkashpreetDid not work at all, cover was broken could not fit batteries in it . 1
Acceptable mixer, does not froth milkChristyNot enough power to froth milk for coffee. Will stir powders into liquids acceptably.2
Good product, but poorly designedArthurThe frother is good and simple (maybe too simple, like dollar store kind of simple). But having to read reviews just to learn how to to insert the batteries correctly is super-confusing. 3
Threw it right in the garbage.ThomasYou know how folks talk about how their meal was farm to table? This product is factory to landfill. It never operated properly, very difficult to insert the batteries and felt like it was made from repurposed overstock Dollarama packaging. If you purchase it, I would recommend leaving it in one of the large waste bins outside the store to save room in your bins at home.1
Impossible to Insert BatteriesYichengIt took me forever to put AA battery inside without breaking it. Instruction are not useful, I don’t understand why IKEA make the battery chamber so small that you have to follow a Youtube Vedio and follow it step by step to install a battery. 2
AA batteries dont workHuraraEnergizer AA batteries dont work. 1
Impressed at the resultsTedThis little demon whipped up my protein drink in a couple of seconds. No more stirring, shaking or lumps. The only complaint I would have is getting the batteries to go in, and the instructions are terrible.5
Extremly difficult to fit in batteriesSimonIt is extremely difficult to get batteries to fit in this device. This is using the Ikea branded batteries. Once in, works great, but will be a cause of frustration for many.2
