This cover is made from Knisa fabric in polyester, which is dope-dyed. It’s a durable material which has a soft feel.

While I appreciate that the updated assembly has allowed for a flatter package thus lowering shipping costs - the quality of the finishing of the bentwood is inferior. The cushion - while very handsome is already showing signs of pilling. Disappointing as this is an icon product in the IKEA product range! 3

What is layer-glued wood?
