Sensitive to draught.

This plant is sensitive to over-watering. Too much water in the pot can restrict the oxygen flow to the roots, causing damage to the plant.

Give your plants a boost with fertilizer every month. If you notice that the plant has gone dormant - let it be until next season.

IKEA provides all potted plants with nutrient-rich soil, repotting is not needed until 1 year after purchase.

Remove dust every now and then to allow the plant to get as much light as possible.

Phalanopsis orchids beautiful and long lastingLynnThese orchids come in many colours including pink, yellow and orange. I always get the ones with two or more stems and lots of buds. They bloom for a month or longer and each bloom remains fresh for weeks. IKEA is my first choice for these. Prices are around $16 for this medium size. They are pet safe and do not have any scent. I like to group them for maximum effect.5
