Good value Nice bench Great storageAlanThis is a nice bench for the front hall with good storage underneath and represents good value for money. The option to stain or paint the bench is a plus. The instructions were clear. Attaching the top as shown on page 12 was a struggle as the screws did not fit properly. I believe the holes need to be drilled longer. Attaching the four screws as shown on page 13 was impossible as they are too short I do not think this will affect the durability of the bench. The top four screws should be sufficient to attach the top. However I may consider sourcing longer screws.

A bench with a trunkJcAlways like the solid wood IKEA furniture I can stain and finish. And if you glue them as you assemble them,….you've got a pc. you can pass down to others.

Great bench but difficult to buildBritneyOverall great bench, nice look, very solid and the storage is a nice bonus. But it was very difficult to get the majority of the screws in, maybe the holes were very shallow but definitely have your own tools at the ready.
A nightmare to assembleLouiseAlthough the bench looks great once assembled this was quite possibly the worst assembly of an ikea product I have ever seen. The screws are extremely difficult to tighten. I had to end up using a wrench to turn the screws. One piece of advice tap the top of the screw a few times to get it sitting firmly in the hole before trying to screw it in otherwise it just spins and doesn’t get into the hole far enough to “grip “ the wood
Screws and holes won't line upJacksonThis solid pine bench is practical, sturdy, and stylish. Assembly was mostly fine, but a few screws were hard to put in because the holes didn’t line up well, possibly due to slight twisting in the solid wood.
We placed it at the foot of our king-size bed, and it looks great. I’m considering adding a lacquer for extra protection. Overall, it’s a solid piece— IKEA products usually don’t disappoint. I would recommend it.

Great bench at bed footFeng YingWe have the Neiden bed for our daughter, and this stool has the exact material and height match for the bed frame. Very practical to prevent the duvet from falling on floor, happy with the purchase.
Impossible to assembleHaleySuper cute and sturdy once put together with lots of great storage. That said, all but two screws were impossible to screw in properly. My hands are killing me. Please do better IKEA.
Very sturdySnizhanaSo far, we really like our benches. They are very sturdy and offer great storage which makes them even heavier and sturdier. I with there were more colour options, but it will be easy to tint them to whichever colour we want later.

Works wellLyndaThis product is easy to assemble and sturdy. I does come unfinished which allows finishing to match any decor. Unlike photo suggestion, adult shoes do not fit easily in the storage area.

The built in storage is super practical and adds a fun design element to it. I might stain/paint it a walnut colour down the line but the pine looks great for now.
Something is wrong with the last step in assembling?Essie The assembling seems smooth until I put in the last screw and I was so frustrated that the screw just can’t go in. I tried to unscrew the previous one and hope it will work for this last hole but no way can the screws provided be fitted into the last hole. I believe there is some defect in the last hole. I don’t want to reassemble it and neither to return it back to the store. don’t have the energy to bring it back. Quite upset after spending the time in assembling the product and found out at the end the product cannot be assembled properly. Hope missing the last screw won’t affect the sturdiness of the bench!!!!
