Do not buy unless you have a Dremel.JoshI bought two of these today, both required me to grind spot-welding nubs from the insides of the tubes on each shelf to get the collars to seat.
They're cheap so I wasn't expecting them to be brilliant, but I was expecting to be able to assemble them without power tools.1
DeceptiveCharlotteAs a two shelf unit, this works fine and is a great price. The problem occurs when ikea calls it a stackable, two unit piece for seversl times the price because the small plastic joints are not stable once the shelves used on top of each other, and it is not obvious from the 'instructions' where to place these joints - especially if one wants to stack them as illustrated in a $69. shelf!3
