I was wondering if I was missing a part, but based on other comments here it seems like not.
Ikea please fix the design by including a cover for the plate or widening the case to cover North American standard mounting boxes.

Not installed yet but looks goodDespinaThis looks great, but what gives IKEA, the mounting plate shows the screws so looks unfinished on the wall or ceiling I know it’s less then 20 CAN but some kind of finishing ring to conceal the screw heads would be appreciated and would pay that bit extra. On the positive side love that it swivels and tilts and it’s a metal body a real plus. Also not a throw away hate built in LED type lights recommend but need to paint your screw heads that off white if your bothered by the silver screw head colour

Inaccurate photoArjunBought in Canada, the base of the light is totally different than represented. The actual light is not nearly as clean, and when mounted screws and stickers are all visible.
Otherwise it’s a very simple and nice fixture.

Easy installChrisThis light comes with a flange that allows one to screw it right on an octagon box. Very easy. A GU10 bulb is required. The bulb is not that bright. It would be nice to have a more powerful, dimmable light bulb. The light rotates and hinges so it can be pointed anywhere which is exactly what I wanted. Good price.
Perfect lighting solutionAnonymous reviewerWe needed a small ceiling fixture in a hall way with a vaulted ceiling. This fixture as a simple modern look, and with the hinge, we are able to have a down light effect! Can't bet the price either.
