Chique bathroom cabinetOmneyaPerfect size and looks. I love it and it lifted my bathroom. We had couple of challenges while building it. It was a bit tricky how to change the door's direction but we sorted it out. The screws provided for the sides are not equal to the number of holes, we sorted out that we don't need to fit a screws in all holes.
impossible to put togetherLisamade it to the very end and couldnt get the door on the cabinet due to poor quality control during manufacturing. which was sooo incredibly frustrating.
Bathroom Cabinet - Door holes in wrong spotSandramanufactured incorrectly - impossible to assemble without drilling new hole as handle and hinge holes are on the same side
Assembly torture chamber KaiI’d like to think of myself as literate with tools and assembly and putting this thing together was a special kind of hell and really tested my patience. Needlessly complicated with crazy tight tolerances and bad threads. Even the shelf pins need an Allen key… WHY? No holes line up properly. The door assembly is terrible and doesn’t allow the door to sit straight. Looks good now that’s it’s up but so many screws are stripped that I’ll never be able to take it apart again.
Mossjon wall cabinetAnneLove the cabinet, looks nice in my bathroom, but my husband almost threw it out trying to assemble it. No clear instructions! He had to take it apart 3 times.
Probably wouldn’t buy again for this reason.
Nice product but the worst possible assemblySinaGreat vanity, looks great, very functional, and a good price.
Giving it 2 starts because it is a nightmare to assemble. One of the worst manufacturing quality controls i’ve ever seen from Ikea. 80% of threaded holes are clogged with the paint/powder coat and makes it such a struggle to put the screws in. Almost all of the holes are in blind corners that you can barely get a standard screw driver in.
Perfect for bathroom stuffWallyThese are perfect for bathroom toiletries where we needed extra storage space to clear clutter from countertops. They look great, fairly lightweight but sturdy and mounting with Wallclaw anchors into drywall allows for centering above toilets perfectly. Only issue with both of the ones I got was the top door hinge hole was not threaded and too small causing the screw to strip. With the second one same thing but this time I drilled out the hole just large enough to allow the screw to self-thread which worked ok. This is what I removed a star for as this issue makes for a difficult assembly. Regardless I'm getting one more for our third bathroom and expect to deal with this issue again but at least I know how to deal with it.
Easy to put together difficult to put on the wallLivThe instructions were pretty straightforward and easy to follow, but once we got to the part where we needed to install it on the wall, we ended up having to remove the top and door that we already put together as it was too heavy and awkward to balance while trying to level and mark where we needed to put in the screws.
It would be nice if the instructions had you put on the door and top after marking where you need to put the hang hardware. It's also very heavy to lift so it would also be nice if you could put on the door after it's on the wall but the finished top doesn't allow for that.
All that being said, it looks absolutely gorgeous in our bathroom and ties the whole room together. I very much recommend this cabinet, as it will fit a variety of bathroom designs.
DissapointingJustinFell in love with the first one we purchased. It was super easy to assemble unlike the second one and just after a week later. Not sure if it was a quality issue but the one hole to hold the door was not tapped properly and stripped the set screw . Assembly is at a halt.
Sturdy cabinetDorianI love the look of this cabinet ! Its nice a sturdy when hung on the wall. My only issue was the instructions were not totally clear as there are alot of ways the pieces can fit together.
excellent, practical and beautiful designAnonymous reviewerA very nice shelf that fits very well in our bathroom. Practical and beautiful
Stunningly beautiful JustinI was trying to find a medicine cabinet and I have an existing dark vanity and I wanted something to compliment but not match and so I was struggling to find something. This is the perfect color and I love the reeded glass as it looks different but blends in with my aesthetic. I paired it with a Stockholm mirror in the new light oak color and I feel that with my color scheme it all blends together and comes together beautifully. Take a look for yourself, you won't regret this. It's the only thing is it's a bit hard to mount. I recommend aligning it to the wall without the door on and then put the door on after when you're ready to mount it. Also take note of other reviews and make sure you don't have the crossbar for the top of the door upside down. It makes it impossible to install the door. Flip it over and you're good to go!
Door screw is too thickKenI had to replace one due to stripped thread like others mentioned in here. I find that going from below toward it's way up doesn't strip the thread of the door screw.
Best thing for a bathroom with no medicine cabinetMichaelI have a wide vanity with single sink, and worked very hard on organizing the bathroom while keeping the vanity clear, but most things ended up in the vanity drawers or cabinet under the sink, for many things this was very inconvenient, we placed this about 10” centred over the toilet (between the vanity mirror and shower) and it’s perfect. It’s not as deep as the toilet tank, because it’s between both the vanity and the shower I put a lot of daily use items in it, moisturizer, shaving cream, cleanser hairspray, air freshener, I have a jar with no lid holding bath bombs. I only wish IKEA made some sort of light (more ambiance than functional) but I’ve already been looking at battery or solar powered rope light to give a nice halo effect. Reeded glass deserves a little light.
Sleek, stylish. Easy assembly. It’s best to screw into a framing stud for support, or opt for metal wall anchors for peace of mind. BrentI purchased 2 of these to use on either side of my master bed. They make great night stands. I charge my devices on the bottom shelf or hold a cup of coffee etc. Any hand lotions, books, jewelry, medication etc gets neatly stored behind the privacy glass.
By having this shelf hung off the floor, it gives me the ability to vacuum much easier or put my shoes etc underneath.
It works very well for simple elegant bedside storage. I highly recommend!
securely packaged for deliveryJohnA few mistakes assembling on my part but found it easy to go back and fix .Solid unit and very nice look, all installed.
Mossjon bathroom cabinet KathyI love this cabinet over my toilet, it has so much storage and looks so good in my black, white and gold bathroom. I would highly recommend this cabinet. I put it together by myself with medium difficulty. The only thing I need to get used to is that you can still slightly see the things inside.
Awesome DebbieThey are perfect for my bathroom his and her looks really modern lots of room for storage
Poor quality controlAnonymous reviewerThe slots for the assembly of the posts at the corners in the model I received were misaligned and extremely difficult to put together, and as others have noted, the screw for the door is not properly threaded - there's no way I could have gotten the door attached without re-drilling the hole. At this point it looks like I'll have to request a replacement screw and hope that it works where the one it came with did not. It looks great and the materials are solid, but when it's being sold as flat pack furniture to be assembled by the buyer, these issues are totally unacceptable.
Cabinet class!MargThis cabinet is highly functional- shells can be positioned where you want them. This cabinet is a metallic production, not the less expensive fake wood, I imagine its longevity will be phenomenal. It was not too complicated to assemble and it had options for door opening to the left or right and if you got it wrong no damage as you might with fake wood!
Drawbacks- installation takes 2 people or strong person- it is heavy!! I suggest trying a template on the wall to see fairly large, narrow, vertical effect- it might surprise you. Appeared very different than in the IKEA store.
Quality, sturdy product, provides options other cabinets do not. Heavy, narrow vertical..Love it!
