SqueaksJdI was initially very pleased with the chair. I wasn't expecting executive comfort or build, but I really wanted a cream/off-white color and their weren't many options in my budget. It was relatively easy to put together and the height is perfect for me to have my feet planted(I'm 5'2) The manual tilt option is fairly useless. The amount of work that goes into a slight tilt is not worth it so I leave it fixed. What has really irked me is that in LESS THAN 2 MONTHS, it has started to squeak! the slightest shift to the side like leaning over to reach something or getting up and it gives the tell-tale creak of a chair that is nearing the end. I bought new so I wouldn't run into this problem so soon. I'm hoping something can be tightened or oiled but I'm really irritated right now.3
Very Comfortable Chair -- TERRIBLE wheelsMalcolmI have been using this swivel chair for over 18 months and I love everything about this chair, except the wheels. The chair's comfort, arm rest position, height and tilt adjustments have all perfect, but the wheels have been a big disappointment ... they do not roll well ... I recently tested the same chair at the Ikea showroom and it had the same problem ... BUT I fixed my problem by finding and ordering a replacement set of 5 casters online (2" Heavy Duty Casters with 10mm Stem). I find it puzzling that Ikea doesn't stock these high quality heavy-duty replacement casters. The set of 5 casters cost me about $20. THIS COMFORTABLE CHAIR IS GREAT VALUE. So if you love this chair, buy it, and then spend a little bit more on great casters.4
Plastic parts where they should not beGlenI have admittedly had the chair a couple of years, and I am a big fellow. However, the plastic supports on both sides (that form the arms and hold the seat to the back) cracked and broke. Not a good design.1
Not a good chairGordontldr; the foam used in the seat is horrible. I bought these for my 10yo boys and within a few months the foam had worn out so much that it's feels like you're just sitting on a wooden board. Ikea offers no warranty on this chair either.
After taking the seat apart to add my own foam, i found that the seat foam has large gaps and the foam itself is a poor grade. After adding new foam it feels much better. So, while the char is relatively inexpensive, add an additional $50 in a higher quality foam, and about 2 hours of your time to rebuild the seat.2
Very Uncomfortable – Poor Ergonomic DesignSeyedrezaWe purchased the MILLBERGET chair from IKEA and it was used only a few times. Despite its good appearance and leather cover, the backrest is stiff and lacks flexibility, and the front of the seat slopes downward. Unfortunately, this caused back discomfort for my spouse, so the chair has remained unused. We followed up with customer service, but did not receive a clear response. Based on our personal experience, we would not recommend this chair to anyone looking for comfort or ergonomic support.1

Very convenientLindaI bought another office chair from IKEA and this is the second one and way better than the first office chair that I bought, very comfy and comfortable. Definitely recommend5
Terrible QualityEmilyThe chair was comfortable at first, but it quickly began peeling and lost its cushioning. For the price, I expected better quality. Do not recommend.2
Great office chair.JaneVery comfy desk chair.5
Armrest fabric started peeling offAmanjotGood chair ergonomically. However quality of fabric is an issue, the fabric on the armrest started peeling off after 9-10 months of use and now completely gone from the left armrest. I have observed quality issues with some other Ikea products as well. Bought a Malm queen bed for my kid with 4 storage boxes, the wheels under the boxes just fell off after few months of regular use. Unfortunately we were travelling and assembled the bed several months after purchase and by the time this happened there was no warranty on the product. When I called customer care to discuss, the lady on call was rude and just mentioned point blank you are out of warranty not really bothering to discuss the issue or taking feedback. Disappointed and have stopped purchasing furniture from Ikea,1

Peeling offEneidaThe coated fabric started to peel off after 1 year of use and it is now destroyed. I contacted IKEA support to understand the warranty, but the answer is : "this product has no warranty and I can not claim any warranty for this product.".
It is a frustration and very sad situation as the chair was not cheap. I do not recommend this chair at all. It seems other people have the same coated fabric peeling off issue so stay away from it.1
The chair squeaksRichardI'm using the chair for almost 1 year but it started now to squeak for every movement. But its not the leather that "sounds" when moving. I have tried to find out what makes the chair squeaking but I give up. Can't find the problem. Any idea?3
