It may look small, but this desk actually has lots of storage. The shelves can be adjusted to fit different things and the cable outlet at the back keeps cables organized.

Product details

You can adjust the shelves to fit different things, and adjust them again whenever you need to. Adjustable shelves help you use your space more efficiently.

Extra room above the top shelf where you can keep your books, CDs or DVDs. The side panels act as bookends and keep everything in place.

It’s easy to keep sockets and cables out of sight but close at hand with the cable outlet at the back.

You can mount the storage unit to the right or left, according to your space or preference.

Air ventilates effectively around your computer or other equipment because of an opening in the back panel.

Drawer stops prevent the drawers from being pulled out too far.

You can extend your work surface by combining desks and drawer units. All desks and drawer units in the MICKE series are the same height.

You can attach magnets to the metal surface and use it as a pin board.

I used this desk for 3 years and now i have chronic back painMaria InesIf you're going to use this desk as your daily desk, DON'T DO IT. Unless your body is the perfect height for it (you can check - are your arms at perfect 90 degrees with the desk when sitting down?), then your body will adjust to it and not in a good way. I was subconsciously raising my shoulders to make up for the gap, and now i'm in constant pain for it. Do yourself a favor and get a standing desk!!1

Large drawer doesn't fit...SherryLarge drawer doesn't fit.. it's a smidgen too wide so it scrapes instead of glides. The small drawer is smooth as silk so we do know how to build ikea. Trying to decide if it's worth wasting a half a day to haul the built desk back, wait in line to return then Try again. 7 year old extremely upset at the idea but the drawer scrapes audibly. 3

This is a great desk for my daughter. We just love the metal backing where you can put up documents with magnets or use it as a white board. My daughter (14 yo) insisted on building the most of it!

Material

What is constructed board?

We use constructed boards when manufacturing many of our pieces of furniture, such as tables and wardrobes. They are light yet still stable and strong. Each board has a frame made of chipboard, fibreboard or solid wood, while the inside is a honeycomb filling structure made of mostly recycled paper, which is extra durable thanks to its special construction. The board is then covered with a protective paint, foil or veneer depending on the style wanted.
