The chair cover is made from Vissle fabric in polyester, which is dope-dyed. It’s a durable material with a smooth weave and a nice two-tone effect.

Great chair, terrible mechanismRyanThe chair is great and has been my go to but the mechanism to hold the position of the back of the chair is terrible. It seems to get worse every time I have to replace it and not it didn't even last a year before it stopped working. Please Ikea fix the aweful design, even if it costs extra I would love to have something that doesn't die quickly if you adjust the back at all.
5 years of abuse!KOutfitted my home office completely at IKEA including this chair. This chair has suffered abuse daily for 5 years and it still looks nearly new! The mesh keeps your back supported and breathes well. My only issue was the chair piston needs replacing (but I’m 260lbs) Recommended.

Standard entry level computer chair.NickGets the job done for computer desk use and has an adjustable headrest. It does lack an adjustable lumbar, headrest and arm rest.
Comfort top marks, cleanability don't spill!BarbThis has lasted us many years and is comfortable even for a heavier-set person. We took the arm rests off to be able to sit anyway we want. The issue is that I now have a mechanically sturdy chair and wish I could just buy a replacement seat that is not easily cleaned.

Not worth the priceShih-HungThe sponge is thin. The armrests are too low. The headrest is uncomfortable when lying back. Gets more uncomfortable the longer you sit.

Homs office chairDerekThe Markus makes a good office chair. It took a little over an hour to assemble for a couple in their late seventies. The seat could be a little more comfortable but I am adjusting. The locking casters have not been an issue so far and provide a bit of a benefit if you have mobility issues.

So comfortable and rolls easilyJoanReasonably priced office chair. Very comfortable for my computer desk and rolls smoothly and easily. Took me a bit to figure out how to assemble the wheel base, as the chair does not roll unless it has weight on it. Overall, would highly recommend.
Hard SeatHeatherI tried the store model (Halifax) and thought it was quite comfortable. Bought it, put it together, and was extremely disappointed with the lack of seat padding. It felt like I was sitting on hard plastic. Otherwise, it would be a five star chair (easy to assemble; great lumbar support). This is the second type of chair I have had to return to the Halifax store because the chair I got was an "updated" version of the floor model.
