Care

Wipe clean using a damp cloth and a mild cleaner.

For increased stability, re-tighten the screws about two weeks after assembly and when necessary.

Great deskTracyReally glad I chose this option for my home office. Its a great size and having the drawer and shelves is very handy. I added an IKEA monitor riser to my set up and it all looks great together. The only thing I wish is that IKEA made their desks a slight bit higher, or had an easy option to add risers to the desk..it's just a little low as is another desk we've bought from IKEA. I love the cord tray on this as well as it keeps everything tucked away neatly. Recommend!5

Not easy to put togetherWinterNot easy to put together in comparison to other ikea desks. Finish is very thin and already has a couple of dings in it even though I am a very careful person. The bottom door won’t seem to sit plumb and the screws are maxed out for adjustments.2

Material

What is constructed board?

We use constructed boards when manufacturing many of our pieces of furniture, such as tables and wardrobes. They are light yet still stable and strong. Each board has a frame made of chipboard, fibreboard or solid wood, while the inside is a honeycomb filling structure made of mostly recycled paper, which is extra durable thanks to its special construction. The board is then covered with a protective paint, foil or veneer depending on the style wanted.

Using the MALM bedroom series you can furnish your entire bedroom in the same, matching style if you want. MALM comes in several veneers and colors. The series includes bed frames, desks, and many different chests. If you want a special place for makeup and jewelry, you can choose a chest with a fold-up mirror and jewelry drawer. Matching wardrobes are available in the PAX series.
