Excellent tools, but select carefullyGeorginaI saw these and bought them on impulse as I’m always looking for wood tools. I took a lot of time picking through the bin for ones with a great grain (many did, some were very porous or textured). They are pre-oiled so should be washed and retreated before use; like ALL wood tools, they should be regularly oiled to stop staining and splitting, hence some low reviews from people who didn’t or let them soak. I also took a minute to sand them down, both allowing me to smooth the handles a bit more but also thin the edges. I’ve used them for over a month now and all still look new, tempted to buy more as backups in case Ikea doesn’t keep these permanently.4

SmellMohammadrezaThey look nice, but they have a very strong, unpleasant smell that won't go away even after washing. I’m concerned about using them for food. Since I live over an hour away from the store, I will throw them away.1
