Bad smell MorainVery bad smell that transfers to food. So not recommend unless you want to scrub with baking soda and lemon often and reseal with oil.

Excellent tools, but select carefullyGeorginaI saw these and bought them on impulse as I’m always looking for wood tools. I took a lot of time picking through the bin for ones with a great grain (many did, some were very porous or textured). They are pre-oiled so should be washed and retreated before use; like ALL wood tools, they should be regularly oiled to stop staining and splitting, hence some low reviews from people who didn’t or let them soak.
I also took a minute to sand them down, both allowing me to smooth the handles a bit more but also thin the edges.
I’ve used them for over a month now and all still look new, tempted to buy more as backups in case Ikea doesn’t keep these permanently.
SmellMohammadrezaThey look nice, but they have a very strong, unpleasant smell that won't go away even after washing. I’m concerned about using them for food. Since I live over an hour away from the store, I will throw them away.
