The cover has a lightfastness level of 5 (the ability to resist color fading) on a scale of 1 to 8. According to industry standards, a lightfastness level of 4 or higher is suitable for home use.This cover’s ability to resist abrasion has been tested to handle 50,000 cycles. 15,000 cycles or more is suitable for furniture used every day at home. Over 30,000 cycles means a good ability to resist abrasion.This seating furniture is tested and complies with relevant strength and durability standards. The tests simulate typical usage of the product and are based on use by persons weighing up to 110 kg.

Poorly made model, not worth it MoustafaThe built of this system is so poor, it’s doesn’t really function properly. It’s hard to operate and the mattress thingy is thin. My parents bought an old model of these back in 2007, they still use it to this day. The difference in quality between that model and this model ( wood, metal, Opération) is crazy. The wood on this thing broke after using it for 1 month. Hopefully ikea would reconsider reengineering this to make it better and sturdier.
Great and Compact SofabedRobertWe were looking for the most compact sofabed for our small lake cabin and we were not disappointed. Pros: Quality, Price, Light, Compact and Comfortable for occasional usage. Con: The bed cover is too bulky and cumbersome for our application. We ended up not using it and prefer the bed’s look without it. A usable mattress cover would be a lot more useful.

Not built for longevityLisaI bought it for my guest room, and it was perfect for the first year or so. But as others reviews mention, with repeated conversions the cheap bits break and it will no longer lay flat nor maintain sofa shape (without the cover holding it together).

Good valueBryanIdeally a two people installation job, but if you are strong like me, not muscular, still manageable. No need to worry about buying a mattress with this one, big plus for that. The wood can be a bit more polished, got small amount of tiny thorn that would catch the bottom of the mattress. Other than that, I am satisfied.
