THIS is what all IKEA cabinets should aspire toNancyI’m in the middle of renovating and have been assembling Sektion cupboards and cabinets, plus reassembling our Billy and Kallax shelving units. So I’m familiar.
I was more than pleasantly surprised by the design and finish of the LOMMARP. Why not aspire to more of this, IKEA? There are painted mitred joints! Not exposed particle board (Billy bookcase door). The backing is fastened with a unique and tidy-looking black plastic nail/flange assembly in pre-drilled holes, rather than cheap nails (all Sektion cabinets). The locking bolts are a dark metal to match the beautiful green black of the finish. This is the kind of attention to detail that elevates IKEA furniture. The design team deserves a bonus or raise.
Damaged partAlexI’m extremely disappointed with this bookcase. We’ve been waiting for it for such a long time because it was out of stock and we were so happy when it finally arrived.
Unfortunately, one of the bookcase panels arrived with a visible surface defect.

Ordering was amazingly easy and the delivery was on time. The process was incredibly easy.PaulI truly love the colour, dark green/blue. I hesitated at first but am very happy I purchased it as it matches some of the chair colours I have.
It is a very solid unit with glass doors and brass coloured pulls and knobs.
The display section has three levels to display items. The lowered storage area is larger than anticipated and holds and hides so much stuff that I actually disposed of a small shelving unit. Sorry guys, as it was an IKEA unit I had for well over 38 years.
An addition note: I also paid for assembly service. I had scheduled delivery for a Saturday afternoon and assembly service for 9am Sunday morning. Everything was delivered Saturday and Sunday morning two gentlemen arrived just before 9am assembling my unit.
Three large boxes of parts and panel's. Oh man, my unit was assembled and in position in about an hour. All boxes were broken down and I had just one box to dispose of.

Fantastic ProductGayleI love my new cabinet. It is so well made and love the soft close doors. Perfect for displaying items in the top and storing items in the bottom. Highly recommended.
Solid pieceConnieThe colour is even prettier in person. Assembly is quite straightforward. Feels quite solid despite not being solid wood. Everything was packaged perfectly so no damage to any pieces. You will definitely need 2 people to assemble as indicated on the instructions at some critical moments. The base part of the cabinet is a few inches wider than the top which is shown in the pictures but I did notice this before I ordered. Double check the measurements and how the piece will fit in your space. I have not mounted the doors yet but I recommend double checking how the reattached screws go into the hinges as I ran into an issue while assembling the cabinet that can be purchased to accompany this buffet. The drawer sides and back are real wood so have a nice smell!

Beautiful!StephanieI absolutely love this hutch. The dark teal is even prettier in person. I bought two to use as storage for books and office supplies; perhaps not as nice looking as using it in a dining room but in our small space these add a lot of storage space that we're really lacking. People don't believe they're from Ikea! The quality is much better than I had expected. They do scuff easily but that's not hard to rub out. I have two "issues" with the hutch. First, assembly was a PITA and you definitely need two people to get the top part on. Second, I really wish you could buy extra shelves for the lower section because the height isn't necessary in every level. But otherwise worth the money and I definitely recommend them.
in love!CourtneyI have two of these in my dining room and honestly I absolutely love them. They hold SO MUCH STUFF without seeming overwhelmingly large in the room. Plus the colour is so beautiful and the burnished gold hardware just makes them feel like such classic pieces.
Amazing qualityAmandaWe have been looking for something for our dinning room as a hutch of sorts but there's a big window in the middle of one wall. We walked into Ikea one day to get out on a rainy day and found this and fell in love. The green almost matches the chairs to our dinning set perfectly, and we bought 2 to put on either side of the window and store our fancy glasses and larger kitchen items (instapot, fryer etc.) to get them off the counter. I was a bit torn given the price, but bought anyway since we love the look and color. These are way better quality than anything I've bought at Ikea. They came with metal connector pieces for the screws, and the finish is amazing. My only complaints is I find they mark easily (if something rubs it leaves a streak, but comes off with a wet paper towel, no damage), so we put a cheap mat on the shelves. Would absolutely recommend.
