In love!COURTNEYI bought two for my dining room, built one so far but it’s stunning and so sturdy and I love it so much. I can’t wait to finish my dining room and get the second one done because I just can’t stop staring at how beautiful this cabinet is!! I waited forever for the stock to come in and it is 110% worth the wait!5
This item is far betterJamesThis item is far better than the previous one I bought from Ikea. The back panel is constructed more wisely so it won't warp as the previous one.5

So far so goodRAJANAppreciate the efforts put in to make the assembly even easier. The new fasteners (don’t know the actual name) are made of plastic and seem sturdy. Time will tell. Nice color choice.5

IKEA"s Best piece of furnitureMansoor K.My wife and I bought this beautiful glass cabinet in summer of 2021. We loved it so much that we also bought other LOMMARP cabinet with wide base. These two cabinets add so much warmth and beauty in our small condo. My wife keeps all our small kitchen gadgets & fancy dinner set in these wide cabinets. The bad part is that these cabinets were never available at any Ikea stores in Toronto area. However, the website offered us option for Penguin Pickup with extra $50 charge. We gladly paid extra, because it was worth it. Assembling these cabinets took long time, but I followed each step on the guide, so I had no issues. Actually I was amazed to see that each piece fits perfectly without any errors. Thank you Ikea.5
Lots of storage spaceJordanThis hutch ticks a lot of boxes because it gives you a large amount of storage from a relatively small footprint of floor space. Elegantly Victorian inspired.5
Beautiful & hides robovac, but the hardware is the stuff of nightmaresHo Y.The cabinet is beautiful. My main issue was the hardware that made the building process a nightmare. When screwing in part #100481, don't bother using a Phillips head as they suggest. The cross isn't perpendicular nor deep/tapered enough for the driver to catch all of the cross (tried 3 different heads). I suggest using a flathead to save yourself the frustration of stripping them. While the rest of the bolts weren't quite as poorly manufactured, they all strip a little. I suggest screwing downward whenever possible as applying an abnormal amount of downward force was the only way I could get the bolts not to strip. They should just go back to giving us hex sockets. The new backing fasteners are preferred to the nails of old, but instructions for them were poor. You'll need a rubber mallet, and you'll want to have the cabinet face down (not upright per instructions) so you're not dropping the button repeatedly. *Bonus: Legs tall enough to perfectly hide a robovac underneath.4
Love thisMiriamA perfect fit for my dining room. I love the rich colour. It is very sturdy and functional. It will look great in any room in the house.5
Looks greatJoshuaNot terrible to put together considering the size. Lots of compliments. Shelves are deep for storage of glasses and nick nacks. Love the colour. I made one mistake and out the base in backwards so really follow the pictures properly5
Beautiful color and spaciousSurya S.Really love the color and the quality 😍5
Good solid build. Doors canMichaelGood solid build. Doors can challenging to adjust and fit. I also purchased and built the TV/media console. Look great, love them both..4
Exceeds expectationsRebecca C.We purchased this for our upstairs sitting area. This is not a quick-to-assemble piece but we are impressed with how sturdy it is. The upper glass-front part is just right for displaying pretty things. It would also suit for special tableware very nicely. The lower portion has lots of room to keep things hidden from view, but close at hand. The hardware is very nice--this piece feels much more lux than its pricetag might suggest. The doors are soft-close (nice touch) and the shelf postions are adjustable. The colour is a very soft creamy grey. The pictures seem to show it to be a soft yellow-cream, but it is a very pale grey. I thought I was disappointed at first, but it goes with our other furniture so beautifully. Honestly, I wish I had a need for another Lommarp piece--I love this one so much!5
Absolutely loveSarah P.This cabinet looks gorgeous and feels much more sturdy than most of ikea's other cabinets and bookcases. There's a ton of storage in the bottom cabinet, and since its tall and narrow it fits really well in my small art room. Very happy with this purchase!5
Elegant additionSABRINALots of storage! Fairly easy to assemble and honestly does not look like an Ikea (sorry Ikea, but you know what I mean!). It is a solid piece of furniture. And it's beautiful! Very happy with my purchase.5

Our take on wood

Wood is the material most commonly associated with IKEA furniture, and for good reasons. It’s renewable, recyclable, durable, ages beautifully and it is an important part of our Scandinavian design heritage. At IKEA we believe that sourced in a responsible way, wood is a key change driver for climate mitigation. In 2012, we set a goal that by 2020 our wood would be from more sustainable sources. We are happy to announce that we have reached this goal and today, more than 98% of the wood used for IKEA products is either FSC-certified or recycled.

Forests are critical for life on earth

Forests contribute to maintaining balance in the atmosphere, purify the air that we breathe and are part of the water cycle. They nourish wildlife biodiversity and provide homes for indigenous communities who depend on forests for their livelihoods. 90% of plant and animal species living on the planet need forests to survive. They provide sources of food, fuel, timber and many other ecosystem services that we rely upon. Sourcing approximately 19 million m3 of roundwood per year from some 50 countries, IKEA has a significant impact on the world’s forests and the timber industry and a huge responsibility to positively influence how wood is sourced. Responsible wood sourcing and forest management ensure that the needs of people dependent on forests are met, that businesses can work sustainably, that forest ecosystems are protected and biodiversity is enhanced.

100% wood from more sustainable sources

At IKEA, we work with strict industry standards to promote responsible forestry. We don’t allow any wood in our supply chain from forest areas that are illegal or contain high conservation values or from forest areas with social conflict. Before starting to work with IKEA, suppliers must demonstrate that they meet IKEA critical requirements on wood sourcing. IKEA requires all suppliers to source wood from more sustainable sources (FSC-certified or recycled wood). All suppliers are audited regularly and non-compliant suppliers are required to implement immediate corrective actions. By working together with our suppliers, we are proud to announce that we have reached our more sustainable sources goal, which we set out to achieve by 2020. Today more than 98% of the wood used for IKEA products is either FSC-certified or recycled.

IKEA Forest Positive Agenda for 2030

As pressure on the world’s forests and the surrounding eco-systems increases due to unsustainable agriculture, the expansion of infrastructure and illegal logging, it is time to take an even more holistic approach to protect and support these important resources for generations to come. The IKEA Forest Positive Agenda for 2030 set out to improve forest management, enhance biodiversity, mitigate climate change and support the rights and needs of people who depend on forests across the whole supply chain and drive innovation to use wood in even smarter ways. The agenda focuses on three key areas: • Making responsible forest management the norm across the world. • Halting deforestation and reforesting degraded landscapes. • Driving innovation to use wood in smarter ways by designing all products from the very beginning to be reused, refurbished, remanufactured, and eventually recycled.

We accomplish more by working together

For many years, IKEA has partnered with businesses, governments, social groups and non-governmental organisations to fight forest degradation and deforestation and increase the volume and availability of wood from responsibly managed forests both for our own supply chain and beyond. We are on a journey to improve global forest management and make responsible wood sourcing the industry standard, contributing to building resilient forest landscapes and improve biodiversity.

What is fibreboard?

Fibreboard is a stable and durable material made of leftover wood from the wood industry. A durable outer layer of paint or laminate is added to the board. The difference between various types of fibreboards, such as HDF and MDF, is mainly the thickness, yet also how impact-resistant they are – and this determines what we use them for. So regardless if it’s a bed, a wardrobe or your new bathroom cabinet, the leftover wooden fibre becomes a resource instead of going to waste.
