Effort put in will be rewardedMarciaBuild is a two person job, space is needed for assembly as all 3 boxes are required for step 1. If in an apartment you're going to need to build in one go. Unsure if the faint will be durable long term, or if we'll see these in value village often. Changed the hardware to fit my apothecary aesthetic. Happy it is heavy and most hardware is metal vs plastic.4
Broken hingeSophieWe love our cabinet but unfortunately the hinges do not last. After about over a year or normal use, the hinged keep coming out of the holes they are fixed it. We repaired multiple time but the holes are now stripped and there’s not much we can do to fix the problem.3
Overall looks greatConnieThe colour is even prettier in person. Instructions are quite easy to follow. The piece is solid for the most part. Better quality than my local big box stores. Attention to detail in the design. I only ran into issues trying to get one of the doors on because the reattached hinge screw would not screw into the hinge (maybe some defect on the metal threads) so the top hinge ripped out of the cabinet when my hand slipped while trying to get the screw through, taking the wood along with it. The mending plate from Home Depot hopefully will provide an easy repair. 4
Lombard commodeGeorginelooking very nice and really useful, but assembling it was too difficult. To place the small round "things" to fix the screws require strong hands. I needed a neighbour's help for it3
