Product details

Easy to assemble as each leg has only one screw.

Ash is a strong hardwood material with a beautiful grain pattern. As it ages the color deepens moderately towards a deep straw color.

The table surface in ash veneer and legs in solid birch give a warm, natural feeling to your room.

This table has been tested against our strictest standards for stability, durability and safety to withstand everyday use in your home for years.

Lisa-beauYassineA beautiful product, extremely easy to assemble.5
Looks great but…AmandaThis table is exceptionally easy to put together - a pleasant surprise. Done in five minutes. I’ve had it for a little over a month and I’m worried that the gaps between the pieces of wood on the table top are already starting to separate…. It’s gently used but the durability is suspect. I will look into the return policy.3
We couldn’t believe how easySherylWe couldn’t believe how easy it was to assemble! An ingenious system for attaching the legs. Altho my husband and l did it together, l could have done it myself in under 20 mins…I am 72 yrs old, 4’9” and weigh 101 lbs. The only reason we rated a 3 for value for money is that the table cost $199.00 plus tax but the shipping cost $100.00 plus tax to Victoria. Ouch!5
Table top is not durableSScareBought it two years ago. The table appearance is excellent, but table top is not durable at all. After wiping it with a slightly wet paper towel wooden joints have swollen a bit, so now I can clearly see how it was assembled and what size of planks was used.2
ssj63perfect!! Good design, perfect size~~4
Looks the part, not standing the test of timeclewis|I have had the table just over a year and it is gently used and well cared for. Despite this the top of the table has started to split apart where the pieces of veneer join together. I am extremely disappointed as I really do like the look of the table but it is not fit for purpose2
Great family tableAnonymous reviewerI've had this table for 3 years. It fits our small space and style very well. It's been very rugged and sturdy for our family or 4 (with 2 small kids) - looks the same now as when I got it. No issues with loosening either.5
Table top issuesAnonymous reviewerI bought this table and I find that the finish is very easily scratched. Just laying cardboard on the surface was enough to scratch it.1
Great Dining TableKim VWe bought this dining table a few months ago and love the style and durability. We hope someday Ikea could sell a longer version, perhaps with a leaf. The black goes really well with our decor. It is easy to wipe clean.5
Beautiful designCalmSpaceI bought this table because of its design. This table looks like those in the Mid-Century Modern category. The main components are simply 1 table top and 4 legs - that is amazing. The assembly does not require a wood or metal frame, and because of that the assembly is so easy. The wood veneer is not only above the table top but also under it. The table is sturdy enough for regular dining use. There is possibly one thing to improve - create some new high quality wood or upholstered chairs to match with this table. I am not sure why the ratings quite low on this page. From the international sites that I came across, the ratings are over 4 stars on average.5
Looks nice but wobblyBrianne VancouverI love the look of this table but I have had it for just over a year and I find it wobbly and unpractical. It looks nice but isn't functional. Considering the price, I would have expected better than this. All other products I've purchased from Ikea have been much better quality.1
LaurencePI have used this table for a little over a year. It has been well taken care of and rarely used. This table, as mentioned in other reviews, has started to crack and separate. The table surface where the wood strips meet is separating. Also, this table has been wobbly since the start although I try to tighten the legs often. For this price at Ikea, expected something way better and durable.1
LemonwaterHeavy but easy to assessable!4
Poor Qualitynpat3shaIn less than a year since I bought this table, the veneer has started to risen, looking like it's about to peel off. I have taken good care of this table - no spills left and it's not quite used very much. For the price it is being sold, I'm so disappointed!1
Love & Hate relationship...BettyEmI love the appearance of this table. BUT, I have two issues with the product. 1. Its legs become wobbly, so need to tighten it really hard once in a while (This lasts about 1-2 months before it needs re-tightening). 2. I bought this table on August 2016, never had water-spill, didn't use the table as much since I live by myself & always use table mat, etc. However, the table surface where the wood strips meet has risen (there's a little gap) as if it is about to flake off. Not too sure what to do, but the gap seems to get bigger and bigger...3
CrackedKimsAt frist it was good until I found some crack on the surface. Among the woods, the surface started to be seperated. I guess the glue are weak or cheap. It is disappointed.2

Sustainable life at home

Handcrafted feeling, modern technique

LISABO table has an organic shape and bevelled edges, a design that previously could only be made with solid wood. We wanted to find a more environmentally friendly and less expensive solution and developed a technique using solid wood around the edges and wood slats inside the table top. The construction makes the table very strong, so you can use it for many years. The natural beauty comes through thanks to a specially developed lacquer that also makes the surface durable. A real wood feeling and a unique table – without time-consuming upkeep!

Energy and resources

Less wood, stronger table

With LISABO table we use wood slats inside the table top and solid wood around the edges. This innovative construction makes the table super strong, so there is no need for support rails underneath. You’ll also find less material, such as less metal hardware. All this so you can enjoy great quality at an affordable price.

What is veneer?

A veneer is a thin wooden sheet fixed on things like particleboards to add a durable surface and a natural wood look – so we enjoy the many benefits of wood without using solid wood. The most common veneer types are birch, ash, oak and beech and we’ve made a special UV lacquer that helps preserve the wood's natural structure. A benefit with a slightly thicker veneer is how you can repair and sand the surface if it’s damaged to give furniture a longer and more beautiful life.

Function solution

Extra table for parties

Sometimes you need a few more tables than usual, such as when you have family and friends over. LISABO is a perfect party table. It’s easy to store in parts then take out and put together when you need it, as it only has one screw in each leg.

Designer thoughts

"The idea behind LISABO was to create a series with the distinct feeling of wood, a floating expression and durable, easy to assemble construction. The round shapes and slanted edges create a hand-crafted look and we chose a matte lacquer on the ash veneer so the furniture will keep its natural wood feel. Each piece in the series work beautifully together or individually.”
