Good productRahulGood product works as expected5
excellent productVerified BuyerGreat quality product. Makes life with a newborn easier.5
Started to leakVerified BuyerWe’ve loved and used this mattress protector for about 3 years. However with recent frequent washing it is now leaking. When my son has an accident at night the mattress underneath is now wet too. I guess it can’t last indefinitely. I’m now going to buy full mattress protectors for him and some new Len crib protectors for the new baby. It was good quality while it lasted but not indestructible and impervious to wear over time.3
Perfect for Toddlers!Verified BuyerA must need in my house with 2 toddlers5
Very Small mattress ciberVerified BuyerI bought this at the same time as foam mattress and crib. It is not worth it as it doesn't stay flat and doesn't cover the whole mattress (covers approx 3/5 of the surface). I would recommend buying a mattress protector that wraps around the mat, I found better ones at baby stores. This IKEA one now serves as a back up.1
LEN mattress protectorMicheleI bought this when I started potty training my sons. Great for catching many accidents at night.5
Verified BuyerFits well between the mattress and the cover.5
Not one leak through to the mattressVerified BuyerWe have used these mattress protectors for 2.5 years now in our toddler's crib. Not one leak through to the mattress in all of that time. Yes it is small for the crib but it is meant to not be anywhere under baby's head. Our only complaint is that I can't throw it in the dryer. Now that we are potty training I am having to wash them much more frequently and they take a while to drip dry.4
Prevented all leaks from damaging the mattressVerified BuyerBought it for number 1, used as directed, under the fitted sheet, and it saved the mattress from all leaks and explosions! Minus one star for not being dryer-friendly unlike the other ikea mattress protectors. Although I’d put it in for a very short time in the lowest heat setting just to wring out the water a bit. Yes it doesn’t cover the entire mattress, but I’ve never had any problems of it moving around when used underneath the fitted sheet. Going to buy a second one as number 2 is coming soon and would be easier to have one to wash and one to use.4
A must buy when using cloth diapers.Verified BuyerFirst off, this is NOT a mattress cover! This is smaller than a mat cover, please check dimensions :/ I use these under the baby so she won't wet our bed/sofa/crib. It's way easier to wash this than it is to wash the bed sheets and clean the mattress, because a baby will soak everything she sits on when using cloth diapers, especially at night. I really like these mat protectors, I bought a bunch and I've been using them everywhere, even in the stroller. For me they were a must, as we stopped using Pampers at about a month, and the cloth diapers are leaky. They only thing I had an issue with is the fact that we're not supposed to dry them in a dryer, though I have been doing that and it seems okay.5
LOVING IT!!!BKGRMany users are saying that it is too small for the crib. But what they forget or don't know is that you should NEVER place this protector under the baby's head b/c it is a non-breathable material! It should strictly be under the baby's body, below the head! Also, to prevent it from moving around, place it under the fitted sheet. It's simple as that. We think it's an excellent product, well worth it for the money!5
Way too smallVerified BuyerI brought this mattress protection today to finally set up the crib. The protection is way too small and already started to bundle up when I lay my child in the crib. It is a bit annoying seeing two lines sticking out where you can tell the protection is too small. This is a awful hit and miss.1
Not my favorite ikea buyBriannaI like the material it's made of, it's a nice quality, but it's slippery and not full mattress (crib) size so I find it slips around and bunches up so it doesn't protect the mattress from any wet messes at all which makes it kind of useless1
LEN Mattress ProtectorElkeIt protects the mattress where it covers. The problem is that it doesn't cover nearly enough of the mattress. We have to use two of these to cover the mattress surface and realign then both daily.1
Pretty Worthless!Verified BuyerBought it because I thought it was a mattress protector for a crib mattress. But it is way too small...< 2/3rds the size of the mattress. It just winds up getting pushed to one side or one end of the mattress. It would have been a good price if it was actually the right size but as it is, it is grossly overpriced1
Verified BuyerThis is very useful if you have a baby or child. I use on sofa, and it helps keep the surface clean as well.5
Good productCynthiaVery useful, good size and simple to carry... I bought two5

Our take on cotton

We use cotton in many of our products, from sofas and cushions to bed linen and mattresses. It is a soft, durable and renewable fibre that breathes and is good at absorbing moisture. All these great qualities make cotton one of our most important materials, but it isn’t without its challenges, much having to do with conventional farming methods that negatively impact the environment and poor working conditions for farmers. With our size and production volumes, we want to drive change in the cotton industry.

Working together to drive change

Each year, IKEA uses around 0.5 percent of all cotton grown around the world. This may not seem like a lot, but the number is big enough to drive change in the industry. For many years, we have been working with partners and stakeholders globally to transform conventional large-scale cotton farming and set social and environmental standards for cotton production. As an example, we helped set up the Better Cotton Initiative (BCI) who runs the world’s largest cotton sustainability programme. BCI exists to make global cotton production better for the people who produce it, better for the environment it grows in and better for the sector’s future. Today, more than 110,000 farmers have adopted more sustainable farming practices within IKEA projects.

Ensuring compliance throughout the value chain

All IKEA products are produced in accordance with the IKEA IWAY Standard, our Supplier Code of Conduct. It sets out the minimum environmental and social standards expected from our suppliers, including compliance with local laws. We do not accept any form of forced labour, child labour or treatments in breach of our supply chain requirements. Our cotton teams across the globe ensure that all cotton used in IKEA products meets the demands of compliance in our supply chain. By having teams on the ground in areas where it has previously been challenging to work responsibly, we can challenge the traditional ways of working and improve the industry. If we discover that we are acting in places where we cannot ensure our requirements are being met, we follow-up on the ground and drive change.

Material

What is cotton?

Cotton is one of the world's most appreciated and used natural fibres. Textiles in cotton are soft, hardwearing and can be washed at high temperatures. They are also good at breathing and absorbing moisture – making them pleasant to wear close to the body. Today at IKEA we use more and more recycled cotton and strive to make sure that all the new cotton we use has been grown and produced with less and less amounts of pesticides, fertilizers and water.

Function solution

Just fit it on

Do you think it’s a hassle to make the bed? Then try using fitted sheet next time. Easy to pull over the mattress and safe for your child since the elastic edging keeps the sheet in place, even if your child tosses and turns. The durable fabric is knitted from sustainably grown cotton – a soft natural material that breathes, absorbs moisture and is free from substances that can harm your child's skin or health. A safe choice that allows you and your child to sleep well.
