Best lampLidiahI previously bought this lamp years ago and love it so much I just bought another.
And if I ever see the dreaded “now or never” on this lamp on the website, I will buy another to store for future use.
They should bring back the small version.
Quality Decine, Price UPCynthiaWe had one of these lamps from about five or six years ago and wanted to buy another one, this year in 2026. After opening up the package, I noticed that the wood in the legs was made just by piecing small bits of wood together, often very dark wood bits against light wood bits. Not so in the old lamp where the wood was much more uniform and a higher quality, not as rough. We took it back and got another one. Same thing. We tried three more times and each time there was something wrong, dented shades, wood cuts that look like a child did them, etc
The old lamp was high-quality wood, finishing was nice and even and smooth, materials of the shades were better quality. The one star is for the fact that it has an on and off switch ON the lamp.
Severe decline in quality. IKEA will respond with we are sorry to hear this, but people keep buying them so they don’t care.

Sturdy lampCynthiaWe’ve had two or three of these lamps and they’re very sturdy, but my big complaint would be that the cord does not lock in to the spool at the bottom so it tends to come undone and look sloppy.

Dimmable?ChristineI want to buy this lamp to replace one like it that I bought years ago. The lamp I bought had a post beneath the bulb which rotated to adjust brightness. I don’t see in the product description that this lamp is dimmable. However it is recommended to buy a dimmable bulb. Does this lamp have a dimmable function? If not, do you have a dimmable floor lamp in tripod dark wood?
