Finish could be better TracyIt's a fun and also versatile object. A few gripes: the wood could be sanded down a little; and the nail holes could be wider and deeper (the provided nails took a lot of effort to screw in).
4 starsJoshuaThe joints in the hand are good, it’s tight enough so that hand can hold its form as you shape it. Relatively easy to assemble, however, the screw holes in the wood were too small and I had to drill slightly larger ones for the screws to fit.

Close to "perfect"DoanI bought it, everyone liked it. It worked as it should be. However, the wood surfaces are not fully smooth, some parts you can still see the woods peeled off and that would concern me I am afraid that it might scratch the leather on my headphones. Overall, it looks great, worked well but needed somewhat force to install it and somewhat not well made yet.

The screws for the base are terribleCordeliaThe screws which attach the base to the hand are terrible quality. It takes a lot of force to drill the screw into the soft wood, but the metal is too soft to stand up to the force from the screwdriver. One of the screws got stripped after barely getting halfway into the wood. I had to replace it with another screw I had lying around, which went in with ease and took no wear. I managed to get in the other stock screw, but in the process it also nearly got stripped, so I'm not sure I'd be able to get it back out. I had multiple bit sizes, so it wasn't a tool issue.
If the screws get swapped for better ones, this would be great. Looks good and the finger stiffness was very adequate in my unit, contrary to some reviews.
